Things in Aerie felt...stale to him. Not in terms that the pack was stale, no. But the fact he felt purposeless here. He had seen his brother around with a girl, though the dark pelted boy had yet to speak to him about who she was or what her role in his sibling's life was. Did he even care? Part of him did. After all, he felt lonely. Since his mother died and he and his brother did their own thing, Zagan felt like he was alone in a room full of people. He wasn't as strong as he wanted to be...the scars on his muzzle from the fight against the trespasser was a reminder of that. He felt he had allowed himself to get soft, his training not up to par or where he wanted to be with it. He was a loner by nature, often keeping to himself like many in the pack seemed to do, but still...it was no excuse. He knew he needed to do more, but what? He had no idea where to turn for answers...and although his cousin Eli was busy with pack duties, he felt the only other person that might have some advice and insight might be him. While his cousin Ina might have some insight too, he was hesitant on approaching her with his concerns. So he sought out Eli instead.

Eligos was beginning to settle back into the rhythm of life in Aerie again, with his sight returned to him. Aureus would never be returned to him, but life had to go on, just as it had after their father's death, as little as he'd wished for it to. There was too much riding on him now, too many hopes and ambitions and lives hinging on his functionality for him to break down as he had before. So every morning he got up, and went around his business, and it got easier to pretend everything was fine.
Setting out through the lake region on his way to patrol, he came across Zagon looking rather... unsettled. Perhaps whatever was bothering him, if they spent time together he would open up to his alpha about it. He shifted to meet up with the younger male. "Morning," he said politely. "Would you care to join me on my patrol?"
