All it takes is a little love

For just a moment, he wanted to just relax. He didn't want to think about what he had lost, he didn't want to think about the damage he had caused, he didn't want to think about all the work that still needed to be done around the castle that was being delayed by the horrid weather. He tried to spend time with his children when he could, but besides seeing them in passing, in the morning, and before bed, he hadn't been able to carve out time in his day to really spend with them and for that he felt guilty. He knew that it would be impossible to make up that time, but hopefully he could start now.

Ulric worked his way through and around the castle until he finally spotted his son, smiling softly as he walked over to the tan and white brindled boy. "Hello, Emile," he greeted simply, tipping his head a bit with a curious glance. He had an idea of how he could maybe accomplish two things at once, but it all depended on if the young man was interested in his proposal. "I thought I might make some bowls for the healers to use... A traveler a met a long time ago taught me how to make them so hopefully I remember all the steps." He chuckled softly, giving him another smile. He knew there hadn't been much to smile about as of late so finding something for them to do to take their minds off of things was important to him. "Would you like to help me?"
