The plan seemed at least worth a try, and the prize would be plentiful. Duchess looked towards the wolf she was paired with, a young girl but she wouldn't underestimate. Avantika would be sent back to The Hallows for the spears, so she would only put together her own plans on the avalanche. They would have to find loose shifted snow near the top of their peak to disturb for the domino effect, Duchess was small herself but she figured they could manage. It would be most important not to get caught up in the fall though, their safety would have been more important especially through her own power. She stepped forward, ready to commence the hunt. She would help in any way possible, she wouldn't hold the pack back or let them down. She wouldn't allow it, she had to be strong and put her self esteem issues aside to keep her mind focused on the large task in front of them. Walk "Talk" Think

Relm didn't take to being around so many wolves, but she wasn't opposed to trying this team work thing. She would be paid at the end after all. So there wasn't much a loss or a waste of her time. Ezra's father explained the plan, Relm considered it a bit too much talking. Couldn't he just get to the point? She didn't think such detail would be important. Just pair up the wolves and tell them a simple direction. Easy enough though, Ezra would go off back to his pack to grab the spears, and she would be eager to wield a weapon like that. She had never before, not that she was thinking of sticking a wolf with it. Well, at least not right now. She'd be reliable for the time being, but once the wolves parted ways it would be every man for himself again. She went to follow after Ulric, she was ready to get this over with. Walk "Talk" Think

It was validating to know that his idea had at least sparked some discussion and refinement of their final course of action. It seemed Resin's lessons on using the terrain to his advantage in battle also extended to hunting strategies as well. The idea of having a couple of wolves at the bottom of the ravine to finish off the beast wasn't a bad call either. They didn't know the durability of these new creatures, and if the fall didn't kill it, it would be beyond demoralizing for all of their efforts to go to waste. The only one to show any sort of disapproval for the plan was the larger gray stranger, but Artorias didn't give him the satisfaction of any reaction beyond an irritated flick of an ear. Had he not been paying attention when the others said the beasts showed no fear of them, or was he willfully ignorant? Whoever he was, his pessimism and aggressive disposition towards slaughtering the entire herd did not go unnoticed by him or by Ulric, who ultimately ignored the brute's cynicism.

It didn't matter in the end, as Ulric laid out their plans and their roles. Artorias sat upright and nodded his head when Ulric called on him to help bring some spears back from the castle armory to help herd the beasts while the others laid their trap. That was easy enough to do. Art had spent more than enough time in the armory studying and cleaning the rusting weapons to the best of his ability, and while none of them were spectacular, there were some that could get the job done. Once Ulric dismissed the group, Artorias turned to Avantika and Ezra and motioned for them to follow him with a flick of his head. "Follow me. I've spent a lot of time in the armory getting things prepped, just in case," he said and led the way back to the castle, as he didn't know if either of the two had even set foot in the armory before.

"Speech" | Urasa | Kaira Dunkan listened to each one's input on the matter, being silent the who time as everyone spoke. He took his time to think about the ideas others were giving away, he didn't mind doing either as long as they would be a success. They weren't failing, failure was a word he banned from his vocabulary and he would do his best to make this work. After the last one spoke,Ulric gave instructions. He and Luta were to be the finishers, it was fine by him as he nodded in agreement. Looking at the one who would be his partner. "Let's go then." And like that he was ready.

Ugh, they were all so boring. He couldn't see one wolf that would take advantage of life's pleasures. They were all sticks in the mud, so to speak. From their dull, lifeless expressions to their hard, dutiful tones. Yep... these were very much his mother's wolves. Boring. Stoic. Honest. Righteous. It made him sick. Would that he could kill them all. Such a fine pile of pelts they would make. As his idea was shot down, the giant beast shrugged. Why not kill them all? It would be easiest on the pack, the meat could be frozen. The remnants would be consumed by the plethora of starving beasts out in the wild that hadn't been prepared for such a winter. Ah, but they were only interested in the good path. The least invasive. Whatever. As the plan was given and duties were laid out, Oxx got to his paws and moved along with the group that he'd been assigned to. He'd play his part and help the boring bunch get their meal. Oxx, he'd eaten before he came. Everything else was just collecting intel. "Speech"

Ezra had never really had the chance to see his father take charge of something like this and it was kind of weird. He usually only saw him as the mushy dad type always coddling him and his siblings. Now he was here giving out roles and orders, directing them into different jobs and stuff. It was weird, but... cool. He sat up a little taller when his dad gave him and a couple of the other pups a task to go back to the castle to get spears and he nodded in agreement. At least it was with Artorias and Tika so it was two wolves that he was familiar with. He gave Relm a grin and nudged her shoulder with his head before he got up to join up with Art and Tika. He nodded to Artorias and was more than happy to let the other boy take the lead as they ran off to go get the weapons they needed. He was excited to see what these huge creatures actually looked like so maybe that put more pep in his step than he normally would have.

Avantika continued to listen attentively as the more experienced hunters (she assumed) tossed out ideas for the hunting plan. She didn't have any particular ideas to improve their plans, so she kept her mouth shut. She figured she didn't have enough hunting experience to be helpful anyway. She could work alongside her pack and the loners, but she didn't want the attention of coming up with ideas herself. She was glad that no one seemed to take much notice of one of the loner's ideas to run the whole herd off of the cliff. She wasn't much of a bleeding-heart, but even considered logically that was a stupid suggestion. Once the meat spoiled, that would be the end of that food source. Who knew how long this winter would be? She nodded at her assignment and glanced over at Duchess. She didn't know her yet, but there was nothing horrible about her outward disposition. Artorias, Ezra, and her ran to get the spears. She ran through the plan in her head several times, making sure that she knew it perfectly. They couldn't afford a slip. "Avantika to Kaata telepathy" "Kaata to Avantika telepathy" "speech"

Lúta turned her attention back to Ulric as he combined everyone's ideas to lay out the overall hunting plan. She was given the task of taking up a position at the base of the canyon with Dunkan to deliver the killing blow to whichever unlucky creature fell over the side. She nodded. A simple enough task in words anyway and with her claws it might be easier for her to get at a mammoth's throat than an un-clawed wolf. Just in case the creature still had some fight in it. "Sounds good to me!" She looked to Dunkan and nodded before getting ready to set out for the canyon. It would take a bit of guesswork to figure out where they'd fall but her companion Raga could help guide her.
