The male could feel the chill seeping into his bones as he left the "safety" of his den at the lake. The dainty winged male wasn't sure what his destination for the day was but... he felt it was in his best interest to check the surrounding areas if he was going to have any luck at all in finding herbs or, well, much of anything. Ever since Bellamy had taken a trip to the North he found loneliness creeping in again. The woman had become a bit more than just a protector in their time together... She was kind of like a sister at this point, at least in his eyes. Not to mention it felt... strange being alone again after so long. He had gotten used to having company, even when enslaved... he felt... lonely.
A soft sigh passed Gavroche's lips as he kept up his pace through the snow touched landscape. He had to admit it was beautiful, at least. The snow lay across the area like a glistening white blanket under the pale light of the sun. The rocks jutting out of the covered landscape were all Gavroche could see for the moment but the winged wolf welcomed the sight. Maybe if he climbed up one... oh who was he kidding? It had been too cold for too long... there wouldn't be any new herbs growing for quite some time.
A sigh passed Gav's lips and he lowered his ears.
Well... maybe he could hope for company at least?
The young male broke into a run and went straight for one of the rocks that had a less steep incline. He hopped up and began to climb, trying to be mindful of the potential of ice, and spread his wings to help him keep balance. The wind played with his fur and feathers as Gav made his way towards the top of the rock, his eyes widening as he saw the world around him from another angle.
"Great Celeste..." Gavroche breathed.
Was this the sort of view the Deities had over them?

She didn't often wander out on her own without Azriel, but she had grown so bored of seeing the same old sights around the river where they lived, especially now that everything was just covered in snow and ice. They hadn't had any excitement or plans or schemes for so time now and she was just itching to get some miles under her paws. She struck out on her own with her satchel strapped around her and Ivy at her side. The feline had become quite the companion and made her feel a little better about going out on her own. If nothing else Ivy could always go back and fetch Azriel if she needed him, not that she thought she'd manage to get into any real trouble while just looking for any remnants of herbs that might be salvageable in this terrible weather. When she found the open expanse of land dotted with large rocks she didn't really know what to make of it. There was also so many hills and dips that it made it hard to get a clear line of sight around them. Ivy immediately leapt onto one of the near by rocks, making short work of climbing to the top of it and sitting with her fluffy tail curled around her paws. Well, if Icy could get up there surely she could too, right? Sibyl climbed the rock - though quite a bit more carefully and not nearly as graceful as the cat had - and sighed as she finally got to the flat top of it. "You just had to pick the steepest one, didn't you..." she muttered before lifting her lavender gaze to look out at the land ahead of them. She lifted her brows with surprise as she gazed out at the beautiful view, the slopes and rocks all glittering with untouched snow as she sun shone down on all of it. Deciding this was as good a spot as any to take a break, Sibyl settled down onto the rock, stretching out on her side and reclining into Ivy. The fluffy cat made a great pillow, much to Ivy's displeasure. She wasn't sure how much time passed, but eventually she heard the sound of someone crunching through the snow and it made her ears twitch with interest. She rolled to her stomach and crawled to the edge of the rock she was on, peeking down over the edge at the stranger that had... wings? The view suddenly seemed much less interesting as she watched the tiny, orange splashed man make his way over to one of the rocks that was maybe a dozen feet from the one she was on, her eyes going wide again as his wings splayed out to help him keep his balance. Sibyl didn't know what she even wanted with the strange wolf, but she couldn't resist getting his attention either. After he got to the top and seemed to be awe struck by the landscape, she picked herself up onto her paws, giving herself a quick shake before settling onto her haunches. "Quite the view, huh?" she called over to him with a smirk. |

The male was so caught up with the view before him that he didn't even notice that someone else was not all that far away. He heard a voice call to him and jumped, turning his body towards a female sitting across the way on another of the rocks. The woman's coat was simple, pale with silver and white making up the coloration, and lovely purple eyes. He found his cheeks burning at the fact that she had managed to get up on the steeper stone without his notice... or maybe she had been there before he had climbed this one?
"It... It is, yes." Gav called back. He allowed himself to take a breath and tilted his to the side as he examined the female and her companion. They seemed to be enjoying the view just as he was. "It makes me think of how the Deities must view us from above." He allowed his wings to settle on his back and offered the she-wolf a smile.
"I didn't expect to meet anyone else out here. What brings you to this place, miss?"

Sibyl chuckled softly at how shocked the smaller male seemed to be at her presence, her surprise clearly working well. He stuck out against the snow covered back drop like a sore thumb with all his splashes of orange that highlighted parts of his coat and wings, while she blended in quite well to the wintery wonderland. As much as she hated the cold and snow, she was going to miss how stealthy it made her. It was fun to sneak up on others like this. She lifted a questioning brow when he mentioned something about “Deities”, though she didn’t ask him to elaborate right away. The healers that had raised her had followed their own religion of sorts and it had kind of soured her on the whole idea, but that didn’t mean it didn’t ad a layer of curiosity to the winged stranger. She wasn’t against learning about things like that - even if she walked away thinking of him as crazy at the end of it. ”Absolute mind numbing boredom,” she replied when he questioned why she was out here, giving a perhaps over dramatic sigh. ”There just isn’t as much trouble to get in around here as there was back home.” She smirked a little at that and felt like she should probably spare him from hearing about what kind of trouble she was referring to. ”What about you? Just out to gaze at landscapes?” |
