Are We Trying This Again?
Kaizer
Aslatiel had heard that an old face had returned to the Armada. Someone that she had once called her own guard. Then Kaizer had disappeared without a trace. Asla thought her dead. Now here she was, back in the Armada. Her father let her come back, so the woman must have had a good reason for leaving. Abandoning the pack wasn't exactly smiled upon. Well, since she was back, it was about time that Aslatiel herself found out why. Not only was she the Reaper, but she was a scorned friend. Hopefully the explanation was good. Ashur, her snow leopard, had been sent to collect Kaizer and send her to the plains. To the very training field that Aslatiel had helped erect and perfect. Though it was snow covered, as was the rest of the world, the small layer of snow showed how well used this place was. There, at the edge of the field, staring out at the frozen, grey sea, she waited. "Speech" |
Loyalty was not wasted on the young wolf, or at least she felt young now. The armada was her family more than the adravendi name had ever done for her. Though Kaizer still wondered what her mother would have done in a situation such as this. It had taken some time for her to recover from her delusional illness. She'd like to think that the illness was what made her leave what she so burningly enjoyed. Her muscles were now weak and she was starting from ground 0 before she had even been trained at home. Kaizer in her only newly grown body walked against the plains until she spotted Aslatiel her heart beginning to pound against her chest. In her time returning she had heard Aslatiel took the place of reaper. It meant that they were the center of her universe now. Aslatiel whome she had wanted to guard. Kaizer was a fool in her weakness and in the back of her mind she wished the illness had killed her. But now here she was, her skin just over her rib bones from her recovery. Legs stiffen and skinny from the lack of muscle mass that she had lost during her season of struggling to hunt on her own. The armada would have healed her if she stayed Kaizer loathed her body for that.
"Aslatiel!" yet, when she took a few steps forward her tail wagged and just as it had been when she saw Sirirus she was relieved to see her very first friend and the princess within the pack. Kaizer smiled nearly in tears, if she had died she would have never seen this beautiful wolf again. She would have never seen the alpha that she so respected. "Thank the heavens above the illness didn't take me." she bluttered out but stayed a few feet away. Standing with a smile on her face and a wag in her tail. |
Ashur, having collected the woman, peeled off from the pair of wolves and disappeared into the snow covered mangroves. Pawsteps coming from behind alerted Aslatiel that the pair had arrived, but she waited for Kaizer's voice to turn and look at her long lost friend. What she was was rather shocking. No longer was Kaizer the muscled, filled out wolf that she remembered. She was now emaciated, thin. Her coat was lackluster and dingy. Aslatiel turned her newly scarred face fully to the woman, fixing her with both purple eyes. Kaizer was a sad sight. An illness? She had abandoned them because of an illness? There were healers that could have helped her. She would have had the familiarity of pack and home. Why did she think she had to leave because of an illness? It was silly and it made Asla slightly angry that she had gone off on her own. She very well could have died and was lucky that she hadn't. Just like the last time that Kaizer had disappeared though, Asla was softened by the regret in the woman's demeanor. In her voice. Irritation rose within her, but she tamped it down. She was angry that she wasn't angry. Really, she was relieved that Kaizer was still alive. "The next time you leave, I'll see to it that you are never allowed back." That was her warning. Aslatiel was deadly serious. That being said, the smaller woman stepped forward and pulled the grey and russet woman into an embrace. "I'm glad to have you home," she whispered softly, her muzzle beside one grey ear. "Speech" |
The illness had made her decision making skills not the best. She had realized that after she talked with Sirius, how could she leave? The armada was her home and she had made a promise to Sirius as he did to her. This pack was the walk of life she had chosen and looking at her Reaper she knew it was the right decision. "I'd rather die than leave again." dramatic but it was the truth. Her heart pounded against her chest even now Kaizer had a sense of pride about her, young but wise but perhaps a little immature due to her upbringing. Either way she was happy to be back and she didn't care too much about crawling back into good graces she simply wanted to prove that she would be here.
Kaizer welcomed the embrace and took in a deep breath. "Me too, I missed you Aslatiel. I hear you've become the reaper." With the sorry state Kaizer was in she needed to gain her muscle back. At least she hadn't wasted away she had finally gained some weight back on and was ready to begin training again. "And I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight." she was delusional that was for sure. She hadn't been in the right mindset when she left. |
