Masses of a Dying Breed

The man had decided to travel farther south to scout the lands leaving Zosime to fend for herself. After their incident with the massive bear he wasn't too keen on the idea, but he was fairly certain the both of them wouldn't be sticking their noses in anymore caves any time soon. He'd also thrown himself into a few spars aiming to further his own knowledge of fighting and he was confident he'd picked up a few more tricks and had been able to pick out his weak points. Overall he was in a fairly decent mood which was rare for the blue hued male who seemed to ever be in a foul disposition. The slightly warmer weather of the south had also helped to improve his mood. After escaping from the subzero temperatures of the northern lands he found the below freezing temps to be almost warm in comparison. His thin coat hadn't exactly done him any favors in the north so this was at least bearable as he crossed the land bridge into Auster. The first thing that greeted him were groves of fruit trees. He observed them with a keen interest, but was disappointed to find that they didn't bare any fruit. His snout wrinkled with disappointment as he sniffed around. There were a plethora of scents ranging from the stale scent of wolves who had traveled hear previously to fresh tracks of prey and even the occasional scent of bear. He wasn't one to back down from a fight, but he wasn't too keen on the idea of running into another bear quite yet so he made sure to steer clear of the fresher ursine tracks and instead started following the scent of a rabbit as his stomach rumbled in agreeance. It didn't take the horned beast long to track down the rabbits warren. It was just his luck that the creature had yet to emerge from its den for the morning. The sun had just barely begun to peek across the horizon. Not wasting the opportunity, he dug furiously at the mouth of the warren until he'd unearthed a hole big enough from his head. A flash of brown tried to whip past his head but it wasn't quite quick enough. Quicker than the eye could follow, Rhae's head snapped towards the rabbit and his jaws clamped down around the rodent's neck and with a quick shake its neck snapped like a twig beneath the force. Content with his kill he carried his prey over to a tree and settled down on his stomach as he began skinning the creature with an ear flicking around lazily as he kept an ear out for anything that might want to come steal his catch. Rhaegath is not friendly! Most (if not all) of his posts will be rated M for the ridiculously foul mouth he has. Thread with him at your own risk (cause half the time even I don't know what he's gonna do.)
