After two wins Ezra was honestly feeling pretty good going into his third fight. When he went into the tournament he didn't really expect to get that far, but maybe he really was learning more about fighting from Artorias than he thought he had. He found his way back to the ring after resting up for a bit, giving his speckled coat a shake before stepping forward to stand across from a boy that was a around the same age as him.

He hadn't met Kotori before now, but he knew this was one of Briar's siblings. He had gotten used to seeing the antlered girl around the castle whenever she came to spend time with Artorias so it was interesting to see more of her family around the festival. Kotori had horns too, though they were smaller and more like a horn than an antler. He gave the slightly shorter man a grin and nodded as he started getting into a fighting stance that was quickly becoming more and more familiar to him.

"Do you wanna start or should I?" he questioned as he leveled his head and out with his back, shoulders rolling forward and long legs bent slightly to prepare to either charge forward or brace for an attack.

Kotori was always arrogant and winning was only helping that arrogance to grow.  He made his way to his next contestant already sure he would win.  He was Kotori Fatalis and by blood, natural talents, and skill how could he lose?  That said he wasn’t so foolish as not to look the boy over with serious observation.  

Kotori met the boy's grin with one of his own and a short nod of acknowledgment.  This guy was around dad’s size so a little bigger than Kotori.  That could work well for his super-special jab technique.  He was polite, asking about who would start instead of just attacking.  “I will,” Kotori offered back in a friendly manner.

Kotori gave the boy a moment after speaking that to verify he was ready before running straight on with an attempt to bite at the guy’s neck.  If he could get the bite in that was great! Mostly Kotori was setting things up to hopefully to get Ezra to react the way he wanted.  If Kotori scored the neck bite that would just be a bonus.

Once Kotori agreed to start their spar, Ezra shifted fully into defenses rather than preparing to be on the offensive, wearing a little grin while he waited to see what the earth-toned boy was going to do. He wasn't kept waiting long and soon Kotori ran forward, aiming a bite toward his neck. Ezra countered the attack by ducking down low, allowing his opponent's teeth to aim for his scruff rather than his throat or the side of his neck and he lunged forward with his shoulder aimed at Kotori's chest. He tried to use the momentum of his longer legs pushing him forward to jab the curve of his left shoulder into the other fighter's chest while reaching to bite at Kotori's left side in the same attack, wanting to just scrape the skin along his ribs just behind his elbow.

Ezra Adravendi

Ezra didn’t do what Kotori had wanted.  A lot of wolves seemed to raise up their head to bite for Kotori’s own neck or face so that he’d have an opening to attack from below with his horns.  Kotori found jabbing horns upwards under the jaw neck region was pretty good but apparently, that would have to wait for another time.

Kotori had to step back twice to find firm footing as Ezra slammed into him.  As Ezra’s bite connected at his side Kotori raised up on his hind paws to try and get his front paws and head on top of Ezra to see if he could surprise him, aiming to get Ezra off balance and hopefully get him to fall so that Kotori could pin the other wolf down.

With how he was reaching for Kotori's side with his teeth, when his paws reached up around his neck the Fatalis boy ended up choking him a bit with how his foreleg wrapped across his throat, forcing him to pull his head up slightly and could only leave a scrape across his skin over his ribs. But he had been able to slam into him and stagger him a bit so that was at least pretty successful. He planted himself firmly though, only staggering back a step as Kotori climbed over him and tried to knock him down. Ezra growled and attempted to head butt the top of his skull into Kotori's throat to knock him off of him, not wanting to bite anywhere more vital and wind himself in trouble for accidentally giving him a bad wound during their spar.
