Onyx tried to avoid the ship as much as possible, she hated the sand and the cold oceans. But she got bored of wandering the pines, looking at the same old trees and didn't want to bother her mom or dad about going out of the pack. There wasn't much to do outside the pack with them over her shoulder, so unless she was really desperate she didn't ask. She knew there would be a day where she didn't have to ask permission, but she knew she was too young to do that for now. For the fire cracker that she was, she was very obedient at least to her parents.
She stuck close to the ship's structure on the outside, she didn't care for the inside much. She was pretty picky about everything but a fight, she would fight anyone or even ask to. It was the best way to spend her time, she had no problem putting herself out there. She stopped and stood around the ship's hull, not wanting to sit down in the ice sand mixture that was under her. If she wasn't so bored she would just go back to pines. But there wasn't much fun to do here either it seemed, or at least she was just cringing at the feeling of the and on her skin. So maybe she would go be bored back at the pines after all.

Dark paws hung from the edge of the ship's deck, his head laying on his forelegs as he looked out over the open tundra near the ship. It was yet another quiet day, another day spent listlessly waiting for something to happen. He had given up trying to seek anyone out at this point. If someone came to him so be it, but his family didn't seem to care about spending time with him so why would he care about them either? His father and a couple of his brothers had gone off without him without even a word of where they were going or why so he didn't feel particularly inclined to put in the effort to find them. If they could abandon him so easily then he could do the same.
A flash of blue against the cold, drab landscape caught his attention and he peeked down till his yellow gaze landed on Onyx down below. He hadn't crossed paths with the girl since they fought that one time, but he thought pretty highly of her from their spar. She had given him a good fight and it had set the bar for what he expected from all of his spars now. He watched her as she walked around the outside of the landlocked ship from a dozen feet or so above and he smirked a little as an idea started growing in his mind. He glanced over at a clump of snow that had fallen onto the deck off of the railing above him and he reached a paw to scoop it up, pressing it into a snowball. He waited then till Onyx was almost directly under him and then nudged the snow ball off the side, watching as it dropped toward her from above.

She wasn't sure quite what she was doing, all her days were starting to blur together. It seemed like just yesterday that she was at the tournament, in her first spar, fighting the saber cat, leaving the den, and being born. There were few times now a days that she felt like something exciting happened. And those more fun, exciting memories seemed to fade like a down high from a drug. And maybe it was what made her want to fight so much. It was easy for her, but it also gave her some kind of adrenaline rush. Though she didn't feel like she was in danger, she was well over confident for her age and her skill. And she mostly fought the red kids to show that her and her siblings were superior over them. Bloodlines meant nothing in the right of royalty, at least to her. But it would only show as she became older how she truly felt, or the superiority of her family.
In her aimless wandering, she was smacked back into reality by falling snow, or no, a snowball. The falling momentum of the formed shape of the snow was unmistakable that it was made instead of natural. She had her eyes down on the snow that had fallen off of her for a few seconds before her neck spun nearly upside down to look at the perpetrator. Her leer was not really a different look from her, though she had only met this boy once before other than seeing him around the pack occasionally. "Hey?" Her voice was a little loud from the distance of the ground to his position on the ship. But the land here felt deadly silent most of the time. "You want me to kick your ass again?" She was more playful than serious, but was also very serious. A fight was the only fun thing to do around here while she wasn't old enough to go out and do things on her own outside of the pack yet.

Cina grinned at the look on Onyx' face when she seemed to realize what had happened and her head popped up to look at him from where he was perched on the edge of the ship's deck. Her feisty attitude about it just made him happier at the result of his mischief. It wouldn't have been nearly as much fun if she had just shrugged it off and kept going. The fact that she wanted to fight him because of it just felt like a win win in his book! He gave her a wide grin and laughed at her threat, calling back down to her, "I'd like to see you try! Come up here and do it then!" He waited till she disappeared out of sight to go to the stairs that led up into the ship, chuckling to himself at the entertainment he had found for himself. His day had gone from bland and frustrating to endlessly entertaining in the matter of moments. He hopped to his feet, giving himself a quick shake before turning to face the opening that would lead her up to the deck where he waited for her to appear. Only a moment later he felt the first pin pricks on his back as slushy, half frozen rain began to fall. For now it was just a drizzle of sorts, but already the cold perspiration wasn't exactly pleasant to stand in.
