Come down, come down sweet reverence

Jynn chatted idly with the old woman as the headed for the lands belonging to a pack called Fireside. It was a nice name, cozy, though Pyr had warned her that they might get a bit testy if the duo wandered to close. Well, that was typical of pack wolves. Jynn had expected as much which was why she didn't intend to get to close. It was a lovely morning, the sun rising bright and pale, lighting up the blue sky, and shooing away the dark blue clouds that still threatened rain. Ahead of her spread rolling green hills with small trees and shrubs here and there. Olive green mountains rested in the distance while a heard of a half dozen or so bison grazed happily on the green grasses.

Pyralis yawned, a bit dismayed at her companions eagerness to get out on the road so early. Oh, well, she supposed she could use the exercise and if the pirates were going to any raiding any time soon she needed to get back into fighting shape. She followed Jynn to the border of another pack and it was immediately obvious they had a good source of prey. She eyed the bison happily grazing away at the grasses. One looked up and stared at her. She stuck her tongue back out at the bison before making her way along the border, sifting through scents as she went.

Jynn took care to keep herself on the unclaimed side of the border, barking gently as Pyralis started to get a bit too close for comfort. They didn't need their journey to be cut short by getting on the wrong side of the pack that dwelled here. She eyed one of the hills but resisted the urge to go examine it. She couldn't really explain the wariness she felt but there was something about these hills that seemed off, unnatural. She focused on the path ahead, pausing just once to glance back at the older woman and make sure she was keeping up with her younger companion.

Pyralis continued to eye the bison as the travelled along the outside of the border. She was good for now but hoped that breakfast would be in the future. Even if she did decide she wanted bison it was unlikely that she and Jynn could take one of the massive creatures. Ah, well. At least that would be one resource she could make note of for future raiding opportunities. Pyralis caught Jynn looking back at her. With a scowl she picked up the pace, pushing past Jynn and leading the way toward the range. She was old, true, but she wasn't some frail creature that would keel over at the least bit of exercise

Jynn didn't say anything as Pyralis pushed ahead of her and moved to increase the pace of their travels. She did however, roll her eyes. The old woman didn't need to prove herself to Jynn but if she insisted then that was just fine with Jynn. The quicker they moved the more they could see and there were seemingly endless lands in Boreas and Auster that were worth exploring. "Hey, wait up!" She bounded through the grasses after Pyralis, quickly catching up with the older woman. Her tail wagged as she followed along after for it seemed like the clouds were moving off and it was going to be a lovely day.
