Come down, come down sweet reverence

Jynn worked her way around the border of the range, tail wagging happily. It was a gorgeous day. The sky was a perfect sky blue with flulfy white clouds here and there dotting the sky. They worked their way through golden grasses. A few green shrugs and trees dotted the landscape here and there but as she peered into the land she saw a large, brown barn. She immediately recognized it as a human structure. There were a number of holes in the roof and it was clear the structure had seen better days. She eyed it suspiciously. Human dwellings were a mixed bag. Some times they had neat items inside and other times the structures proved dangerous.

Pyralis also caught sight of the barn. Oooo she wanted to go inside, such a pity the barn was inside the packs borders. She noticed the tractor, the strange skeleton of metal and she dimly wondered what the purpose of such a structure was and how it came to be. Birds were signing in the tree nearby and she closed her eyes to take in the warmth of the sun. It would be a shame when winter came and the little bit of warmth they'd been given would vanish. She'd best get in her exploring now for when winter came she would be content to curl up until spring.

Jynn continued on her way, catching up with Pyralis once again. "So, since we're traveling together may we should get to know each other a bit better. You were saying you were a pirate and if I recall correctly I saw you at Sparrow's party. You a member of her crew?" She had dim memories of the party, having gotten a bit drunk a lot of it was a blur but if she recalled correctly she had had a good time. She'd toyed around with the idea of joining but piracy wasn't her thing. She had little to no interest in raiding other packs for supplies. She could be content just exploring for the rest of her life.

Pyralis winced as Jynn mentioned them getting to know each other. She made no show of hiding her displeasure at the younger wolf trying to engage in small talk. However, Jynn mentioned the pirates and it suddenly occurred to her that she had met the maned wolf at the party. Well, not so much met as saw and played spin the bottle with and shared several drinks. But it wasn't like anyone could blame her. She was getting old and her memory was going, combine that with a night of wine and well… Pyralis chuckled. "Yes, I am a member of the pirates. We're always looking for new members, you should consider it."

Jynn passed past a cottonwood tree, leaping over a bush and back onto the main trail. She chuckled. "I'm not really the pirate type so I think I'll pass on that." She imagined the topic would be brought up again as they traveled but she'd made up her mind. She sparred for fun but rarely for any serious reason if she could help it. Self-defense was one thing but she wasn't the kind of wolf that would go looking for trouble. Getting injured just wasn't worth it. She wanted to be free to wander and roam and with an injury she'd be stuck in place, waiting for it to heal. No fun!
