Tensions between the band members had kept everyone's interpersonal relations strained at best and nonexistent at worst. Because everything was falling down around them, Emersyn had done her best to keep everything working for the most part, as Indigo had become all but useless in his depression which he was now only coming out of and Duchess was turning into a fat pregnant mess. The nomads had moved down to the Fern Gulley in preparations of heading south to Auster to whether out the winter and give Duchess' pups a fighting chance. Between her everyday tasks and their moving preparations, it had become nearly impossible to find any time to herself, but when she did, Em tried to unwind any way she could. Today, however, relaxation seemed like it would be avoiding her. Storms had picked up, as the weather in Boreas had become turbulent as of late, and heavy rainfall pelted the land and dark thunderclouds blotted out the skies to an almost nighttime darkness.

While the rest of the band started moving supplies and herding the goats into the dens they'd made, Emersyn had noticed Gypsy looking panicked. "Gypsy, what's wrong?" The smaller fae had mentioned how one of her goats was missing. Em scowled and surveyed the nearby area. The sudden storms must have spooked one off. Had it been anyone else, Em would have insisted that they let the goat go and they could search for it once the weather had passed. But this wasn't anyone else. She knew how much the goats meant to Gypsy, how they gave the timid girl a purpose and a focus. She took a moment to let Indigo know where they were going and then found Gypsy again. "C'mon, I'll take you to go find your goat," she said to the tiny fae. In the rain, Em would have a hard time finding the goat's scent, but perhaps Gypsy, who spent all her time with the goats, would do better than her. "Do you want me to lead you or do you want to ride on my back?"

Gypsy was worried. Her pretty little face was scrunched in a look of anxiety and she stared blindly out into nowhere. The sound of Emersyn's voice cutting through the blowing wind of the incoming storm brought a soft gasp from the tiny woman, her milky white eyes going wide for a moment. The large fae offered to take Gypsy out to find the missing goat and the offer was received with a nod and a look of thanks. With Bertha keeping the other startled goats in check, Gypsy had been worried that they would have had to leave the missing goat behind. "Oh thank you, Emersyn!" The lady's purple and white face lit up brightly.

As Emersyn made the offer to walk beside her or to carry her, Gypsy pulled her mismatched ears back against her skull in uncertainty. Everyone in the band knew how shy and broken she was. Physical contact was very unsettling for the minuscule wolf. There was a little goat out there though... alone and probably scared half to death. "We'll go faster if you carry me." With care, Gypsy settled her small frame upon Emersyn's much larger body. She was ready to go.

Gypsy's sensitive hearing gauged the rumbles of thunder and she curled more tightly into Emersyn's thick pelt. "Do you think we'll find him before the storm hits? He's just a kid." The missing goat in question was the child of one of the bands goats. It had wandered off and Gypsy had only known due to the mother's bleats and beckoning calls. She was terribly worried that the kid could have become injured or worse.

"Gypsy" "Bertha"
**Gypsy's past is full of some extreme abuse. Be warned.**

Indigo may enter any of Gypsy's threads as he sees fit.

Gypsy's overwhelming gratitude lightened Emersyn's heart in the wake of all the strife it had been burdened with lately. She knew she couldn't see if, but Em couldn't help the warm smile that crept across her face for the little alabaster and purple fae. She knew the offer to carry Gypsy would definitely push the boundaries around the delicate woman, but it was in the interest of her goat's safety, otherwise she would never entertain the idea of making the sweet little fae uncomfortable. Fortunately, Gypsy seemed to be on the same page as her, and climbed onto her back without much prodding. Em marveled at how easy it was to carry her and instantly felt a pang in her heart for her. She would need to make sure she spent more time with the band's sweetest member going forward.

Once Gypsy was settled on her back, Em focused her eyes forward and gave a warning, "Hang on tight." Emersyn started off at a brisk lope that quickly turned into a run, covering as much ground as she could before the storm got much worse. She was ever mindful of the girl clinging onto her back however, never jostling her too much and glancing back every now and then to make sure she was okay. "I'm sure we can find him together. Everything's going to be fine." She hoped. With the rain mucking up many of the scents, it was difficult for Emersyn to follow the fading trail of goat. Her brow furrowed in frustration as she began to lose the trail, her gait slowing to a trot until she realized she had no idea which way to go. The goat could have headed south to Gambit Briar, or west towards the desert, she had no clue!

"Fuck..." she muttered under her breath, then turned to Gypsy. "Gypsy, your nose is better than mine. Can you pick up anything?"
