Fortunately the recent storm had left Ashen's catches and stores relatively unscathed, they were spread out between the islands and mainland; meaning if one was damaged- or pilfered in the unlikely event of a raid- there was always more to replace what had been lost. Fom what Hattori had heard, the same could not be said for the Armada. The timing was unfortunate with winter looming over the horizon, churning up the sea and causing massive waves to crash against the shore. Each landing just as hard as a lighting strike. Hattori was a fairly decent swimmer, but the land bridges which connected the Ashen islands offered little protection against the tempestuous nature of the sea and thus he took the long way around. His akita followed in the Shogun's footsteps, seen and not heard, with a bundle of furs, dried meats and even tea strapped to it's back.

It wouldn't be nearly enough to fully replenish their stores or provide for a pack as numerous as the Armada, nor did Hattori intend to insult the Warlord by implying he was incapable of caring for his own. Rather, it was a gift from himself and Ashen Empress, a show of good faith and a reminder they were always willing to lend aid. Whenever need be, the Empire looked out for its own.

Beyond that, there was something else Hattori wished to speak about; something tedious and inconsequential to him, yet it dwelled in the back of his mind all the same. Hanako always seemed to be a point of contention and for the life of him Hattori could not understand why, but if Sparrow was sniffing around for the girl then the least he could do was inform the Warlord. His wolves were his own and the Shogun was certain he would deal with it however he saw fit. After Hattori said his peace the matter would thankfully be out of his paws, the false-koi forgotten once more.

Drawing to a stop beyond the territory line, Hattori cast a look over his shoulder and his companion was quick to shrug off his wares and nudge them so they were within Hattori's reach. With a flick of his tail, Hattori dismissed the hound and tipped his head back, calling out for the Warlord in his usual baritone howl, polite yet aloof.

The storm was pittering out, and the worst part - the thunder - had stopped. He could still hear the way the wind stirred up the raging sea when Hattori called for him. He left his wife in the care of Bast, and trotted out to where Hattori called. His eyes slid to the bundles the other wolf carried, and back to the other Dires familiar face. THe gesture between two allies was not lost to him.

“Hattori, well met.” he said, noting also the way Hattori was not soaked, despite the lashing waves. “How are your Islands fairing with the winter storms?” he asked politely, taking a seat before the other wolf.
