Mojito was keeping himself busy, it felt like the days after he'd confessed to Asla, except now there was a wall between them. His avoiding her was mutual now and it somehow hurt more. He felt lonely, surrounded by wolves yes but none of them had ever seemed to show him much mind, aside from the warlord but he wasn't really sure he could consider the man a friend so much as someone he looked up to. He didn't really have anyone to talk to but Hoa and the sheep wasn't exactly a strong conversationalist. Not that he didn't care for his friend, simply that Hoa was a very practical sheep and didn't really feel the need to indulge in conversations about much but their work. So yeah he was pretty alone, as much as he wanted to spend much of his time wasting time with his daughter some part of him was afraid she'd become aware of the rift between her parents, and even if she didn't he knew he couldn't claim all of her time. For all he was struggling with his feelings for Asla he wasn't about to try and poison the well. Their daughter deserved better than that.

Mojito sighed, his mind much too occupied to keep on task and so instead he'd decided he was done for the day, standing on the shore, the saltwater swirling around his legs. He idly wondered where his parents and siblings had gone, some part of him wanted a chance to introduce his daughter to them... He wondered if he would feel less alone then, he'd never regretted choosing to join the Armada but he also couldn't help but feel he'd have saved himself a lot of heartbreak and loneliness if he'd gone with his family, wherever it was they'd gone. At least he'd feel he belonged.

Satira was growing more and more with every day. That is, as much as the growing the ultra tiny pup was doing could be called "growing". She was still incredibly small at almost two seasons old, and it seemed like she would always be a small wolf, much like her father and mother. Her days were filled with uneventful lessons, play time with Arcturus since there were no other pups in the pack and all the adults always seemed so busy, and the occasional day spent with her father whenever Asla wanted to go and spend "adult time" with those two new wolves out in the forest. What were their names again? Tira couldn't remember right now, since she'd only met them once, but mom seemed to like them a lot, so they must be good friends. Today was no different, and as the kids were given more liberties to roam the Armada without direct supervision, Asla had sent Satira and her brother off to spend time with their fathers. She had done as she was told, but when she left the familial den, she instead went to a nearby hill and watched while Asla headed off in the direction of the northern forest, back to her other friends.

Tiny paws trotting across the ground, Satira looked up into the cloudy gray sky. The world had been so dreary and rainy lately, but at least it wasn't raining now. The sky was just hiding. That was okay, she knew it would come back eventually! Satira had gone to Mojito's den first, finding it empty, then following his scent while she tracked him down to the shore. There stood her father, the foamy waves lapping at his paws. A wide smile split the puppy's sweet face. She loved getting to spend time with her dad, and even though her, dad, and mom never spent any time together as the three of them, she loved her family all the same the way they were.

"Daddy!" Satira cheered as she raced down the hill to the soft sand, leaving the tiniest paw prints imaginable in the beach as she ran to meet him. The tiny tawny, white, and black pup ran right up to her father's legs and threw her paws around him, hugging his foreleg and nuzzling his ankle. She peered up at him with pale blue eyes that looked as if they'd been perfectly recreated from his, the brightest smile imaginable on her face, each toss of her head making her ears bob and flop. "Dad, I found you! I tracked you all the way from your den! Aren't I the best tracker ever?"

A flopped ear twitched as the sound of small paws approached the man from behind but he kept his gaze on the horizon, not because he was ignoring his daughter's approach, but rather because he didn't want to spoil her surprise. He only turned as he heard her sweet voice lifted into a call and the man turned to look over his shoulder, a wide grin splitting his face. For all his inner turmoil there was one thing in the world that could lift his spirits and it was his daughter. He laughed as her tiny form embraced his legs and Mojito lowered himself to nose at the back of his daughter's neck, leaning into her affection.

"The absolute best!" He said, his tone warm and he chuckled again. It was impressive to see the young woman his daughter was growing into. He gave the top of her head a lick and scooped her closer to him with the forepaw she wasn't clinging too. "What are you up to today my dear?" He asked, eager to see whatever it was she'd gotten into her head. "More tracking?"

A symphony of girly giggles erupted from the little pup when her father smiled at her and nosed the back of her neck, leaning herself back into the cold nose pad of her sire. Satira was always happiest when she was with her family, but with the recent goings-on around the Armada with its flooding crisis and Asla doing all she could to distance herself from the pack and her frequent ventures out into the woods to see her secret friends, those moments had become few and far between. It upset the girl more than she let on, but it also made moments like this all the more special to her. She flashed Mojito a wide smile that was all teeth and sweetness when he called the the absolute best tracker. If her dad thought that, then it must be true! Her dad was so clever, there was no way he could be wrong!

Satira gave a little squeal of laughter when she felt the warm wetness of Mo's tongue across her crown, and then she was being scooped up to snuggle closer to his much larger form. Although he wasn't as big as her grandpa or uncles, her father was still the greatest man ever in her young eyes. "Just a little bit," she responded, nuzzling herself up against his warm fur. "Mom had to go out of pack lands again, so I get to spend the day with you now!" She gazed up at her sire with pale blue eyes twinkling like faceted blue topaz. It didn't matter what they did today, so long as she got to do it with him. They could have fighting or healing lessons, go picking herbs, just play on the beach, it all sounded good!
