Even after she and Siren mended their relationship and she no longer had a reason to avoid her former mistress, she still clung to the habit she had formed of taking some time for herself. She still went out early in the morning to do her training and she tried not to be too glued to Siren's side, but they did spent a significant amount of time together again and had gone back to sleeping beside each other once more. She was trying to learn what being free meant slowly but surely as they got settled into their life on this larger island. It was such a foreign concept that she didn't know what it was like to say no or to make plans for herself, but she was slowly beginning to learn. The muscle definition she had once had back in the days when she had primarily been a soldier was slowly starting to develop again as she continued her training each day. Her body had grown soft with the more gentle life she had been afforded as Siren's servant, but with her freedom she was determined to regain a bit of her confidence and find more ways to make herself useful in their new pack besides simply taking care of Siren. She had claimed a bit of the beach and had cleared away any pieces of drift wood and larger rocks to make a nice stretch of sand that she could use to practice her form, defenses, and attacks. That's where she was now, lunging and pretending to bite at a dummy she had crafted out of bundles of dried grass. It wasn't as effective as fighting someone else, but it would have to do for now. Chimera was intent on learning every inch of his island just as he had his former island. Today, as he was crossing the beach, he came upon a comical sight. Dalila was attacking wads of dried grass. He supposed she was training, but she wasn't doing it very well. A soft huff of amusement ghosted through the man's speckled nose and the edge of one lip curled away, exposing his teeth momentarily as he continued to watch.

Dalila wasn't his favorite wolf, but she had apologized so he had been civil. The woman had been helpful during the move between islands. He also knew that he could trust her to keep Siren safe when he wasn't with her. Ah... but she wouldn't be able to protect her very well with her skills so... lacking. He'd seen worse, but he knew that she could definitely be better. And there was only one way to make her better.

Throwing his weight into his black toed paws, Chimera rushed the mottled woman. He released a growl to at least let her know that he was coming. His form thundered towards her and his jaws opened wide. He aimed to slam his wide chest into her unprepared form and attempted to bite into the side of her neck. He wasn't trying to permanently harm her, but he wanted this lesson to be as realistic as possible. If his bite landed, there would be blood.

"Chimera"

The pounding of paws and a rumbling growl made a hit of adrenaline hit her system, her hackles bristling as her blue gaze darted toward Chimera's massive form barreling toward her. Panic hit her and for a second she was frozen in place and wasn't able to make herself move until it was too late. His chest slammed into her shoulder, very nearly knocking her completely off of her feet. If it hadn't been for the fact that she had already been in a fighting stance when he rushed her she most certainly would have gone tumbling across the beach. At least she manage to just stagger and stumble instead. She tried to avoid his open jaws, but she wasn't quite successful at that either. His sharp, lethal teeth caught the skin on the side of her neck and left a laceration in his wake that made blood drip down through her fur. At that point the pain from the bite finally triggered some kind of fight in her and she twisted her neck to try and bite just behind his jaw in retaliation, her heart pounding hard against her ribs. The sudden attack put her back in the mind set she had been in when her first pack had been attacked and ravaged, but she was far less prepared than she had been back then. She was out of practice and she had never had the chance to replace the armor she had lost. It was so hard to tell with Chimera if this was just a spar because he saw her training or if it was some kind of punishment of some kind, but either way she went on the defensive and tried to do her best to fight back. It took her a moment, but she finally figured it out. Too late though. Chimera's teeth latched into the flesh at the side of Dalila's neck, but it wouldn't leave lasting damage. The moment that he tasted blood, he let her free from his grasp. She bit back in turn, her teeth grazing just under his jaw and soon he would be bleeding as well. That was good. Now he knew that she was serious. The corners of the giant's maw lifted in a grin and he used his bulk to push against her, snaking one paw out to try and hook her own or at least distract her enough so that he could try to slam his body weight down upon her smaller frame.

Fighting the woman was giving Chimera a rush of lust. He didn't particularly like Dalila, but dominating a woman always gave him a boner. Perhaps he would spend his energy on Aliana after.
