Malachai vs Solo [Yearling Party Fight]
Malachai had to admit he wasn't really impressed. The yearlings that had gathered were not particularly impressive to him, now Malachai definetly had a high opinion of himself that was way past inflated but something about the young man he'd been matched against just didn't really seem all that strong to him. Now Malachai was quite large, and so any wolf smaller than himself felt very fragile to him. Now the gold-marked boy was not nearly as small as some other wolves but Malachai still managed to stand a bit taller than him and therefore he was probably just going to break the boy he'd been matched with... None of this took into account how Malachai hadn't won a fight yet. "Speech |

So far, the party had been extremely fun! Wandering away from the territories of Abaven in search of a little but of mindless entertainment was so very out of character for him, always so stoic and reserved. Yet... he'd wanted to get away from it all. Just for a night. One night of just being a dumb kid, without ranks or history bogging him down mentally. Psalm had snuck off with him, and he was almost certain he'd seen a few other bodies creeping away from the borders at sundown. Now, here he was, perhaps a little tipsy already, getting into a brawl with another boy who was easily as big as that enormous alpha of the Hallows. He ambled closer with a bit of a grin, until he noticed the sour disposition he was being met with. Oh, that was a bit of a mood killer. Tipping his head to one side, he found himself unable to contain the look of mild concern that slipped onto his dark masked features. "You alright?" he questioned, deep vocals curling around the softened syllables of an English accent. A few more slow steps forward, until there was about three feet of space between them. Enough to be comfortable, in case the larger boy wanted to change his mind, or in case he needed the time to react to the first attack.
With a slow deliberateness, the burly yearling set his defenses while he waited for a response from his opponent. Perhaps this would give the dark furred wolf time to set his own defenses as well, if he was still interested in a quick brawl. Tucking his tail between his legs to protect his most vulnerable parts, relaxing his joints and lightly bending them so that his centre of gravity was lowered. His two toned ears were flattened against his skull, one less thing for the titanic male to grab a hold of later. His head lowered between his shoulders, which rolled forward to bunch some of the fat around his throat and protect it. Mercury eyes narrowed to slits, and his lips peeled back to reveal pearlescent fangs. Well, the other boy wouldn't be standing here if he didn't want a fight, right? Might as well give him what he came for!
Was this his first spar against another wolf? He'd had short ones with his brother and father, testing the skills they were being taught, but they were explicitly for training. They rarely shed any blood. He had taken out that sabre cat earlier in the year, but that had been in self defense, really. Yeah, this was definitely his first real fight against someone. The alabaster boy lunged forward with as much force as his powerful thighs could offer. He wanted to make use of this rare opportunity to fight someone with a decent size advantage, and test out tactics he hardly used. He strafed slightly to his right, and pushed forward with his hind legs as they drew abreast, aiming to slam the point of his right shoulder into the soft flesh just inside Malachai's right shoulder- just enough to bruise, not enough to break anything. Now they were chest to chest, a dangerous place to be in a fight. In the same moment, he also sought to lift his jaws, parting them in the interest of securing a grip on the underside of the dark boy's neck, just below where his lower right mandible met with the muscle of his neck. If he did manage to get his teeth into the boy's neck, he didn't want to hurt him too much, and his grip would hardly be forceful enough to tear through the flesh any more than a few scrapes and punctures with his teeth.

Malachai wasn't exactly a highly social wolf, he mostly stuck to himself, he'd been happy to see Grim and even hadn't minded bumping into Ophelia but he mostly didn't bother much with the others and when his sparring partner asked if he was okay the young Klien grunted, eyes narrowing. "Fine." He said, tone clearly showing how much he didn't really want to get into a conversation with the gold-marked boy. "Let's just fight." He rumbled, watching and matching the other boy's defensive stance, though Malachai usually kept himself a bit more open than that. He grunted in pain as the other boy's shoulder slammed into the soft tissue of his shoulder joint. He lowered his head, chin tucking and started swinging his head to his right, angling himself untintentionally so that Solo's teeth grazed his neck, pulling fur and eliciting a hiss of pain. Then Malachai would try to swing his head back towards Solo's own head, hoping to smack the side of his skull into Solo's. At the same time he attempted to slam his right forepaw into Solo's left forpaw and grind his toes into the ground.
