Áskell was assigned his first fight and he strode into the ring but as his opponent came into view he realized he recognized the girl from the Armada. Ugh… so they were going to have to do this again, hm? He eyed her saber fangs and larger height but refused to let himself be intimidated. Áskell swiftly set his defenses. He'd had one drink but was feeling loose and ok so far. The girl, Gossamer, seemed to be fairly aware as well but that suited him just fine, it would make for a good and even match. Underneath the confidence though was a stirring of nerves. His boyfriend, well he considered them boyfriends anyway, was at the party and Áskell very much didn't want to make an idiot of himself.

Gossamer eyed the rather annoying boy she was going to be fighting. She'd made spears with him a few times and while there were some things she liked about him there were plenty of other things she didn't. If anything it just made her more determined to kick his butt. Gossamer was eager to prove herself. She was a warrior now and on top of that at the last tournament she'd been in she got knocked out on the first round. She definitely didn't want that to happen again so she'd need to step up her game. Gossamer squared of against Askell and set her defenses, making sure to pin her ears and tuck her tail. She rolled her shoulders forward and looked to him before grinning wickedly. "Well, after you, ladies first and all that."

Áskell scowled at the girl as she made a snide comment at him. "Ha. Ha. You're not that clever." He'd show her a thing or too. Feeling more pressure than he had in awhile Áskell took extra care to set his defenses and prepare himself for the attack. If the girl was too scared to make the first move that was fine with him. He kicked of hard and charged toward her. He dove in seeking to lift himself up so he could slam his chest directly into the center of her chest and at the same time he sought to bite the upper left side of her throat.

Gossamer simply smirked at the boy in response and readied herself for the battle ahead. She swiftly set her defenses, making sure to pin her ears and tuck her tail so that the boy would be hard pressed to do serious damage to the delicate appendages. The boy charged at her and Gossamer steeled herself, her legs coiled as she stepped to her right, causing his fangs to miss though his chest rammed into her shoulder. She winced at the pain but twisted her head around, seeking to grab the boys scruff and she honestly didn't care if she pierced him with her fangs.

Áskell was disappointed that his fangs hadn't landed but he felt some satisfaction as his chest slammed into her shoulder. He winced a little, feeling bruising forming on his chest though she was likely worse for wear. Áskell swiftly ducked down, instinctively being wary of the girls long saber fangs. It was a good thing he had. He felt her fangs clip the skin of his scruff but fail to get hold. His neck snapped forward as he attempted to grab her left wrist in between his jaws. He wanted to get a solid hold where he could help slow up her movements.

Gossamer growled lightly as her fangs merely cut the boys skin instead of seizing a solid hold. Shortly after she felt a sharp pain in her left wrist as the boy succeeded in grabbing hold of her. It hurt but it was a sacrifice she was willing to make for while the boys head had a grip on her leg it was held reasonably still and in range. Gossamer sought to drive her head even lower, continuing her previous motion as she sought to grab hold of his scruff solidly this time. She felt fairly certain she could get him before he had a chance to dodge this time .
