Mommy's Not Feeling Well

She had been feeling sick since even after having her puppies, though she didn't blame them at all. She assumed it to be after-effects of the birth, but she didn't recall feeling like that after her first litter...but what really threw her for a loop, were the small mushrooms that had begun to grow around her ears. She had a mushroom crown, and from them spilled red ooze. She wasn't sure what to make of it, but when she had tried removing one, it was painful. She was coughing, too. Spores from the mushrooms were likely the culprit, but the only healer in Aerie hadn't bothered to check up on her before, during, or after the pregnancy. Some attentive healer... she thought bitterly. She didn't know who it was, but Aerie had to have at least one. Still, she didn't want to let her illness keep her from spending time with her kids, so she returned with a rabbit in her jaws and dropped it near the den, calling softly for Tien to join her for breakfast...though she wondered how she was going to explain this illness if her daughter asked...
