He was supposed to be the calm and collected one. Emotions didn't ring through his body like they did the others. Yet, losing twice in a row lit fury in his belly. How was he going to protect mother if he was useless? How could he possibly fight off danger if he didn't know how to fight? A deep growl rumbled in his chest as he paced around Redbud Nook. Occasionally kicking out at a new growth tree, he didn't care to for the life it would bring to their home. With his ruby eyes hard-set into a glare, he hoped anyone would pass by and indulge him in a fight. SPEECH |

Widow was tired of growing, literally. Her body ached all the time and how many times did she have to beg the world to stop making her grow!? She didn't want to be gigantic as everyone seemed to believe that she would be. What was so great about being big anyway? Can't sneak around anywhere without others seeing your or hearing your gigantic paws smashing the earth underneath her. It was a constant struggle for the girl, so much that when her body ached from growing, she spent her time in the den crafting a neat hat and a cool staff!
Today, thankfully, her body wasn't in quite as much pain. Wearing her new hat and carrying her new staff between her teeth, she looked down to the little black cat at her side and then up to the bird that coasted loosely above them. It was a good day!
Although, it would seem that at least one of her brothers wasn't feeling the same. With a smirk, she approached and set her new staff gently on the ground. "What's your problem?" She asked with a playful tone, smirk still present on her pretty face.

Surprisingly, it wouldn't take long for one of his siblings to come walking by. What did surprise him was that it was Widow. Sure, his own legs felt aches every now and then as they all grew, but nothing that quite matched that of his larger sister. Jealousy would not twinge in him at her since he would be the burliest of the bunch. His size grew wide instead of tall, but he yet wasn't the smallest either. Just perfect if he could say so himself. Turning to lock his ruby gaze on the nearly midnight version of himself, he frowned. "My problem is I can't seem to win a fight," Ghoul growled, admitting something to anyone made his stomach twinge, but there was no use lying to his siblings. He at least respected them that much. Moving his body so that he faced his sister head-on, his eyes looked down to the staff she had placed upon the ground. Well, that was new, but nothing he couldn't manage. "Spar with me," he said as his downturned lips folded up into a smirk. Before Widow could deny his request, Ghoul leaped forward with paws extended and aimed to wrap them around her neck in a bear hug. Twisting his head toward the side, if he was successful, he hoped to snag onto the side of her scruff where it was the thickest. His aim wasn't to hurt her but to get some of the furious energy out of his trembling body. His problem was petty but she supposed that she understood. They way he felt about not winning any fights was similar to the way that she felt when she couldn't learn any of the herbs she'd been collecting as quickly as she'd like. Not long after his words though was he soon charging towards her and quickly she grabbed her staff with her dexterous paws and aimed to block his attack by positioning the weapon between them. She wasn't necessarily aiming to fight him back, but take his attacks and just block them. Let him get it out of his system, and then maybe they could have a real fight afterwards.
Using her weight and strength to position the staff between them wasn't difficult, however the girl wouldn't be able to stand on her hind legs for long and soon the heavy girl would begin to topple forward. Grabbing her staff with her jaws, her massive paws quickly found the ground. With the staff between her jaws doing the best to keep him a safe distance from her (or really just keeping his teeth from grabbing her flesh), she reached out with a giant paw and sought to wrap it around one of her brothers, hoping to pull it from beneath him.

Before he could reach her, Ghoul watched as his sister grabbed the staff that had been laying on the ground. As he leaped into the air to try to grab her, his paws hit the staff. Hearing the clatter of his claws against wood, he pulled his weight back to keep from propelling forward. Slamming his paws back toward the ground and skidding to a halt, he watched with ruby eyes as she began to topple forward. Pausing a moment to recollect his balance, he watched as she reached out to try and grab at his paw. A smirk licked across his lips before he took a step back and leaned down in an attempt to try and nip at her toes.
