Mature for mentions of suicide, death and starvation. Dont read if this makes you uncomfortable.

She was alone, with the world giving her their back, abandoned, left behind. All was numb, empty in her young heart, if she still had it of course. She had lost everything and now she only had herself to embrace what was left of her decaying frame, from both no desire to eat and being a loner, forced to be. Losing her home, and family. No faith, no hope was left as the young female sat down by a stone column, eyes dry of emotion, cold, lost in the unknown. What was left? Why should she live? No one would miss her, she was tired of suffering, of living every day without anything.

The night was young, and here on her own she was an easy target. Prey. And soon she heard noises, steps coming, growls, grunts. But energy was running out so there was no way she could run.

She had nothing, nothing left.

Moving around so much led her to be hungrier than normal. Having spent a lot of her time back home fishing, she figured it was high time she learned how to hunt bigger prey. Quietly moving across the plains, ahead of her, stone pillars loomed up to the night sky. With her cat in tow, Celeste watched the small herd of sheep lazily graze on the tall grass. Her obsidian and ivory flecked pelt blended well with her surroundings as she approached. Silent in the shadows, her aquamarine eyes darted between the herd until a disgruntled noise caused her to pause.

Not far off, a larger grey wolf lay curled up away from the sheep. Nearby, a few babies had already been rushed away as a fierce-looking male began to huff and paw at the ground in the girl's direction. Not that it was usually in her to be the "knight in shining armor" type, but she wasn't about to let someone get mauled for doing nothing. Rushing forward as fast as her dainty paws could take her, Celeste moved toward the male with teeth bared. Looking back to her cat with a nod that he was indeed welcome to help, she let out a quick bark toward the unsuspecting girl.

"Watch out," were the only words her voice let out before she swerved toward the horned sheep. While she was smaller in size, the sheep stared at her bewildered. Matching horns? That would throw anyone off. Snapping in the sheep's direction, she pushed forward in hopes of driving it off before hunting it down. First, to get the other girl out of harm's way.
