The day wore on, but thankfully Venom had only been sparring puppies all day so at the least she still felt quite fresh and ready to go. Physically at least. She could already feel the tension of her mind growing as she ignored the deeper thoughts within. Today she was focusing on her nieces and nephew, she couldn’t let herself get distracted with her personal woes.

Venom worked to again tamp down skids and paws steps within the sparring circle, she redrew the circle for the third time and sat back to look at her work. Finding it satisfactory she placed herself in the middle of the circle like she had for the two pups earlier. Then she leaned back her head and called for another niece to come and train with her aunt.

Dove island archipelago / evening / warm

The evening warmth cradles the pup in its loving embrace and Seere finds herself slowly falling asleep on the sandy beach. The endless push and pull of the waves relax the pup even further. When she is right on the verge of drifting off into dream land a call for Seere has her eyes flying open. One moment she was ready to sleep and the next the monochromatic pup is springing to her paws and racing off toward the call. She knows that voice and when Venom’s form comes into view, the small pup squeals in happiness and runs even faster.

The fact that her aunt is sitting the middle of tamped down ring is completely lost on the pup as her gray form streaks toward her Auntie’s long legs. Seere attaches herself to Venom’s front right leg and giggles madly. The small pup tilts her head back and allows her mismatched eyes to find her aunt’s gaze. Small tail thumps the sand joyfully as Seere says, “Auntie Venom! I missed you! How are you today?” Venom had been to the pups recently but, in a hyper puppy’s world, being gone for more than an hour is a lifetime. With all four legs wrapped around Venoms one, the pup sits happily on her aunt’s paw and waits to find out why she was called.

Sometimes just spending time with the young ones was good enough. Venom enjoyed getting to know their young minds, they were so youthful and innocent. It brought back deep memories from a time when she and Plague were young. The two of them hadn’t been incredibly close while they were puppies, but maybe that's why they were so close now. Venom tried not to think about how she had been betrayed, abandoned, and left by those she had once been so close to. It was true that those that were closest to you had the ability to hurt you the most.

It was easier to stop thinking about her woes when she had a sweet little distraction in front of her. Seere answered her call with a swiftness, her tiny mottled form racing towards her as she sent sand flying up behind her. The girl raced right for her, colliding easily into her white gloved leg as she exclaimed brightly in greeting.

”You missed me?” She asked confusedly. ”I just saw you this morning.” She chuckled softly as she stood up. ”I am well,” she lied with a smile on her face, ”But today isn't about me. I brought you out here to train.” Venom lifted herself from her seated position. ”Alright, who ever steps over the line or gives up first, loses.” Venom offered the girl the parameters then stepped back. ”Go.” Venom chuckled.

She wanted to give Seere the first move, but instead swiped gently with her pale paw. The girl had plenty of time to move but Venom aimed to knock her back just a little.

Seere’s tiny tail thumps the sand at a frenzied pace, happiness evident on her small face. When her aunt chuckles after informing the girl that she had seen her this morning, the monochromatic pup whines and says, “I know! It has been so long!” Seere gives her aunt a huge smile wraps her tiny legs around her aunt’s larger one even more. The small pup listens to her aunt and, when Venom says she is here to train, the eager girl yips in excitement and hops off her aunt’s leg. Eyes look around to see the ring in the sand as her aunt announces the rules and the pup makes a small ‘O’ with her mouth in surprise. How had she missed that?

The indomitable spirit youth has Seere quckily wagging her tail happily, tongue lulling out the side of her mouth as she backs up a few steps and gives her aunt a play bow. Venom says go and the small pup gives her best scary, intermediating growl. Hopefully her aunt doesn’t hear the joy that Seere feels or see her small tail that seems to have picked up speed on its own accord.

Suddenly, a big paw is swinging at her! AH!!!

Seere doesn’t notice the gentle, lazy way her aunt swings her pale paw, all the pup sees is a threat. Giving a loud, high-pitched bark, the small pup decides to move sideways and lunges toward the offending object, aiming to try and nip at the toes that are within reach. She doesn’t want to hurt Venom but puppy teeth can be sharp. If she hits, Seere will try to pinch her aunt’s toe. The happy puppy growls as she lunges, tail wagging the whole time.

"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Seere was the sweetest and most playful of her brother’s wonderful bunch. Her markings reminded her most of Plague, and she was really the spitting image of him. In spirit and strength, she already showed confidence to take on the world just like her impressive father. Sometimes she worried Rava’s timid nature would rub off on her children, but so far that didn’t seem to be the case. Venom chuckled at Seere explaining just how long ago the morning was, but she didn’t seem discouraged about their training. Their time apart was swiftly forgotten as Venom initiated the playful spar.

The girl is swift to retaliate, and as Venom buffeted the girl she grabbed wildly at her pale paw. Wrapped in puppy paws her toes had no chance and were consumed. The whole ordeal reminded her of a time when her pups were young enough to bite at her toes. That could have sent her into a sad spiral of memories, but Seere’s brightness warded off the shadows.

”Oh no, she’s got me! But I won’t go down so easy!” Venom vowed as she aimed to scruff the pup to release her from her paw. Ultimately trying to use the same paw to pin the pup to the ground in gentle victory.

Seere lunges at her aunt Venom’s paw, growling, snarling, being as fierce as she possible can. It works! She scores a hit! Tiny mouth with sharp puppy teeth, naw on her aunt’s toes as she growls even more fiercely. Venom’s voice only adds fuel to her happiness and the small pup noms a little harder as her tail wags faster. However, her eagerness has made her forget about everything else. Venom scruffs her, making the monochromatic pup lose her grip and scramble away. Seeing the paw swinging down toward her again, Seere quickly races in, this time aiming to leap at her aunt’s ankle and wrap her small legs around it. If she lands, the pup will nibble her aunt’s ankle until she submits… or until the small pup falls off and gets pinned.
