Muscles ripped as broad shoulders rolled forward then back in slow arcs. Baldur stood outside his den taking in the cool autumn air that was warmed by the rapidly rising sun. He'd been ill for a long while but was finally to the point where he felt like he'd recovered. Of course he still had yet to mentally process the idea that he was now an uncle. But was an uncles supposed to be? He wasn't quite sure, he could guess at what a father was but an uncle? Was he to be Loki's emotional support? Perhaps he was to spoil his neices and nephew? Baldur just wasn't sure at this point so before going to see the family he was intent on warming up with a spar. There was of course another reason as well. Winter was almost here and by now the lands far to the north would be experiencing freezing temperatures. The lake was bound to be frozen and it was time to head back to their homeland and rescue his twin? a magpie landed in a nearby tree and stared at him as he warmed up, squawking a few times before flapping off. Baldur shuddered. He was getting impatient. Lifting his voice he let out a howl to call to a fellow gamma. Time to limber up.

Odette Adravendi patrolled the borders, enjoying the brisk breezes autumn intended to bring to Valhalla. She had paused at a halfway mark to further engage herself in the quiet atmosphere and cool temperatures. Odette's eyes were closed as she imagined herself racing with the wind. She also saw herself flying across the currents, magical wings appearing out of nowhere. Her imagination would continue to run wild until a familiar howl broke through her subconscious. Colorful images of feathers and leaves dancing in the visible winds disappeared and Odette was brought back to reality. Red and blue eyes opened as curiosity rose in her chest. Baldur's howl was of some importance, especially when its tones called for her. Like a magnet, she was propelled to his direction and that was where her paws went. The restlessness would be quieted with the distraction and she was grateful for it. Her tail waved like a banner behind her as she climbed various hills and flat lands in between to reach the white male. Each small obstacle she met was met with working muscles and growing confidence. Her eyes twinkled as she continued to briskly trot through the large land to get to the male. Gears in her mind were working as she tried to figure out why he had called. Odette appeared in Baldur's left-sided point of view. Her appearance was a shiny coat, training for her muscles and body kept up, and shiny eyes. She came up to him with a warm smile on her face. "Morning, Baldur!" She warmly greeted. "You rang?" "Speech"

Baldur waited patiently for Odette to arrive. The woman showed incredible promise as a warrior and ever since her courageous actions against that giant water lizard he was anxious to see her skills in battle. Slightly nervous he took to breathing calm and steady. It had seemed like ages since he'd sparred anyone and his last couple of bouts had ended in draws which only furthered his anxiety. He was out of practice and he needed to get back in shape stat. Winter was around the corner and it was their one and only opportunity to rescue Hodr. All too soon the warrioress would arrive. He smiled and shook out his coat as he walked over to her. "Morning Odette! Say, I was wondering? were you still up for a spar?" There really wasn't much more to add. Erani was insistent that the gammas practice and he could think of no more fitting an opponent.

Her red and blue eyes sparkled when Baldur asked her for a spar. She hadn't had one since Cru and Jinxx had taken her on (both on separate occasions), and she was ready to show her stuff for the next one. A smile started to creep across her face, bringing more light to her tan and dark face. Her tri-colored tail swept behind her lazily at first, slowly increasing its tempo until it was like a blur. A soft growl rumbled in her chest before she barked with gust. "Sure thing, Baldur," was her reply. Her smile had grown into a toothy grin and her muscles twitched with anticipation beneath her thickening coat. "You will have one before the day is through, I promise!" Her heart rate began to increase as the mere thought of clashing and gnashing into his frame came to her mind. Such ideas made her head spin and she wished to show them off. "You don't know what you just got yourself into," she kidded, a soft chuckle escaping through her mouth. Talk like this

Baldur grinned and went about setting his defenses. Fur and hackles raised as his ears pinned tightly against his cranium. His maw parted to ready rows of ivory teeth as his chin tucked slightly. Snowy neck scrunched back as he rolled his shoulders forward, abdomen tight and ready for action. Ink-stained limbs coiled and tensed in supple preparation as his weight spread evenly across his limbs, toes splayed and claws digging into the earth. His tail streamed out behind him, parallel to his spine. "Oh I know exactly what I've gotten myself into. Come on crocodile kicker lets see what you've got." He waited til she was ready and then sprang forward to try and close the distance between them, his body shifting just slightly to his right. Chiseled thighs propelled him forward, his upper body lifting in a leap as his head twisted the the left to try and snag Odette's left cheek, upper fangs aiming to latch below her left eye, the bottom fangs to latch along the corner of her leftside jaw. As he twisted his head to the side he pushed his chest forward to try and ram it into her upper chest in the hopes of jarring her breathing. His right front limb raised in a grab for her shoulders. He hoped to drape the limb across the middle of her shoulders to try and stabilize himself. His left front wrist sought to wrap around behind Odette's right front wrist in an attempt to pull the limb towards himself and unbalance her. Tail waved behind him like a banner for stabilization and in case a quick turn was needed if his attacks failed.
