Cerberus had come to his first birthday, and now was being given more responsibility and roles assigned to him. He wasn't quite sure of how he felt about Chimera making him the heir to Fenmyre, but he honestly didn't think too much of it. He didn't expect his father to be going anywhere anytime soon.

He was out patrolling the dam, one of the first few patrols he had started on his own. He had prepared months before though. The shifting sounds through the water nearby, outside the pack lands had caught his attention and he was quick to pursue. When he came upon the disturbance he discovered a tiger crossing into the borders of Fenmyre. And without much thought let out a call for help before charging at it and knocking it on the shoulder with his goat horns grabbing it's attention.

"Cerberus"

The earthen-hued wolf had crossed over to the dam area in search something fun to chase. Athena is content to patrol the island and keep Chimera and his family safe just as the King had told her to do. She leaves the dam to be patrolled by more experienced wolves but that doesn’t stop her from crossing over to catch animals for food. With her nose low to the ground, Athena hears the call for assistance. She moves quickly through the trees and soon finds Cerberus squaring off with a tiger. With a smile she charges the big cat as Cerberus knocks it off balance. The cat’s back is facing her and Athena nimbly leaps on top of the tiger’s back, sinking her teeth deep into its right shoulder. It yowls in pain but she wraps her legs around the cat’s neck and holds on the ride. "Athena Nocturna"

He was more focused on the tiger than who had joined him but it didn't really matter to him as long as they came. Athena jumped up and bit the tiger on the shoulder, causing it to move off center of Cerberus and attempt to work on it's current attacker.

Cerberus stepped forward quickly, getting back around to the lion's face and coming just a bit from behind it before lunging forward with an open jaw. His sharpened teeth sank deep over the lion's snout, clamping it down and doing major damage. Like a crocodile after it's prey, Cerberus went to push the tiger's face sideways in attempt to get it down on the ground at it's shoulder.

"Cerberus"

Athena tears into the tiger’s shoulder with her teeth, shifting her jaw and thrashing her head as she growls. She rips apart the skin and flesh causing the tiger to shift it attention to her as it tries to dislodge the painful culprit. Cerberus is already changing position and, as he grabs hold of the tiger’s muzzle, Athena lets go of her hold and springs off the cat’s back to land gracefully near Cerberus. Swiftly she whips around and slams her body weight into the tiger’s shoulder. She works to help Cerberus push the tiger down while biting at the leg that is attached to the shoulder, hoping to make the cat lift it and send the tiger careening to the ground. "Athena Nocturna"

With Athena's help, the tiger gets pushed off kilter and it's massive weight thuds to the ground. It doesn't really squirm while it's legs and paws are so massive and not really quick or agile, but it certainly was not happy.

Cerberus kept a hold of it's muzzle while they found a good steady ground over it before switching to his paw to release the tiger's mouth and nose and now held it down with a paw at it's skull. Quickly he lunged down, using his sharp teeth over the tiger's throat and taking it's life. All Athena needed to do was help hold it still so it couldn't hurt either one of them before Cerberus could reach it's throat and while it bled out and died.

"Cerberus"

The tiger falls, and like a mighty red wood felled by a storm, falls down to the earth. A massive ‘thud’ accompanies the cat’s arrival and Athena quickly works to pin down its wiggling shoulders. Its back paws are slow and easy to dodge, so she stands on the opposite giant front paw and sinks her teeth into the tiger’s shoulder. She seeks to rip tendons and immobilize the appendage. Cerberus is taking its life and she works to quell the frantic movements of the tiger’s limbs. Its body soon falls still and Athena stays in place for a couple more seconds… just in case. When she steps back, she throws Cerberus a huge smile, saying, “Nicely done Cerberus! I will fight with you any day.” "Athena Nocturna"
