Where had the thing even come from? Scylla had been walking the bank of the little river that ran through the aspens when suddenly: Lion. Why was there a lion here and what did it think it was doing? The girl tried asking it to leave, but everyone knew that cats were stupid. It simply roared at her and began approaching. Great.
Scylla was wearing her armor so she could get used to its weight. As always, she had her dagger strapped to her foreleg. When the feline drew in close, the girl swept her dagger outward, leaving an open gash on one big, tawny foreleg. The lion grunted and swiped out at the girl, but she was already backtracking.
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

Ciná stepped onto the shore of Auster's main land with one of the pack's newer members, accompanying her while they went out to do some scouting and maybe a bit of hunting. He was trying to do a better job of getting to know the pack's members better so he figured he might as well start out on a good foot with Athena since she was new to them as well. He made sure she got off of the ferry platform first before he hopped off himself and right at that moment the roar from a lion made his head pop up and whip around toward the sound. His golden gaze landed on the shape of the lion in the distance by the stream that ran through the Aspen Dam and a moment later he spotted the small slate blue figure he recognized as one of Chimera's daughters facing off with it.
He glanced toward Athena before taking off at a run to go give the girl some back up, large paws carrying him quickly toward the large cat. He arrived just in time to see the lion's large paw swiping out toward Scylla and he saw the cut that she had left through its tawny fur. He dodged past the cat's paws as well and went in toward it's hip and bit hard into its thigh in a glancing blow before he quickly backpedaled to avoid it's sharp claws swinging at him with a loud yowl.

Athena is with Cináed today, the huge male had promised fun scouting and hunting in the dam. As in search of a good time, the woman had agreed and quickly boarded the ferry with the huge male. When the ferry hits the dock, the earthen female disembarks and turns to look at the fiery-clad male. A roar fills the air, and Athena’s head snaps around toward the sound. A quick glance to her companion and the pair is off to intercept the large feline. Only… they aren’t the first there. Scylla is holding her own with her deadly dagger.
Cináed’s larger paws have him pulling away from Athena and get him there first, just in time for the male to dodge a huge paw that is aimed at Scylla. He moves to strike at the lion’s thigh and, with the cat distracted, Athena rushes in to leap up onto the large feline’s back. Quickly she latches onto the lion’s scruff, sharp teeth shredding through skin to earn another yowl from the cat. With that, she wraps her legs around the feline’s neck, holding on tightly for the ride that is sure to come.

As Scylla went zipping away from the lion, reinforcements came. The girl gladly traded placed with Athena and Cina while she took the chance to regroup. Skidding to a halt once she heard the cat scream, Scylla spun and took a deep breath. The lion had a wolf biting it and another wrapped around its neck. She tilted her head for just a moment before rushing back into the fray. Scylla bit into the lions ankle while her blade dug deeply into one well muscled thigh. The cat screeched in indignation, but she didn't run this time, feeling much more confident with the other two present.

Ciná was aiming his next attack when Athena suddenly appeared on top of the lion, biting into its scruff and pulling another pained yowl from the big cat. He blinked with surprise, but quickly kept going, not wanting to give the lion a chance to throw her off in the process. Scylla jumped back into the fray as well, going for the lion's ankle with her blade. He couldn't imagine that this big cat would want to mess with them for much longer with three of them piling onto it, but he had seen predators do crazier things. Besides, if the three of them were here maybe they might as well kill the thing so they could get its pelt to use. Either way, he continued dodging its flailing paws and lunged in to get a good bite in at the base of its neck. His teeth caught and ripped into the skin, tearing a deeper wound as he jumped back again. That alone probably wasn't enough to be lethal, but with all the other stabs and bites combined maybe it could be.

Scylla’s dagger bites into the lion’s ankle, moving easily through flesh and muscle and then Cinéad opens a deep wound at the base of the cat’s neck. They make a pretty good time. Since the huge male is keeping the large feline from bucking Athena off, she opts to release the scruff but not to leave the feline’s back. Instead she shifts to the side, aims her teeth at the thick skin on the side of lion’s throat. Teeth find purchase and Athena begins tossing her head back and forth rapidly. Her plan works as the pulling of the skin on its neck slowly widens the wound at the base. Yowling loudly, the lion shifts to try put distance between itself and the wolves. Unfortunately, for the large feline, they have other plans for it.

The lion kicked out as she stabbed it and it sent the girl flying and rolling away. Ugh, if only she was a little bigger! She was getting pretty tired of being tossed around. Maybe she would have to develop some new kind of weapon that let her hold on to her opponent. Hmm. With a huff, Scylla got back up. With both heavier wolves attacking the lion, she was confident enough in her abilities to run up and plunge her dagger into the feline's throat. She planned to kill everything that she went up against, honestly. Kione did as well and they were together more than anyone else, so she didn't think that the other two might not want to kill the lion. They wouldn't eat it but they could add the skin to the stores.

Cináed kept up with the fight for a bit longer until Scylla came lunging in with a flash of her dagger and sank it into the lion's throat, bringing the fight to an end. Between the bite he left on its throat, the one Athena added, and Scylaa's dagger the lion didn't remain standing long. It swayed and staggered until it finally collapsed under Athena that had been hanging on to its back. Once it went still he stepped back and gave himself a quick shake, giving Scylla and Athena a grin. "Good job," he told them both. It didn't seem like any of them had gotten hurt or anything so at least he didn't have to worry about that. "I'll carry this guy back," he added before he bent down and shrug the lion up over his back, letting its paws dangle over his sides to the ground as he started carrying it back over the short trip back onto the island so they could properly skin the big cat and make use of it. Might as well get a good fur rug out of it for all of the trouble it caused!

Athena would whoop in happiness as she adds another rip in the lion’s throat but her mouth is full of… well lion. Amber eyes catch Scylla getting sent flying by the large feline and the earthen wolf growls loudly and readjusts her grip on its neck before thrashing her head wildly. The pup is back on her paws quickly and rushes in with her dagger, driving the killing blow into the cat’s throat. Life quickly fades from the lion and it collapses under Athena but she refuses to let go until finally stills. When she is certain it is dead, she release her hold and moves over to where Scylla is.
Offering a large smile to Cináed when he complements them, Athena says, “We make a great team! Way to go Killer.” She gives Scylla a gentle bump while scanning her for injuries. As the huge male throws the dead lion over his back, the earthen wolf suggests, “Why don’t we all go back to the island and celebrate with huge snack? What do you say?” Amber eyes dart between the other two, hoping the pup agrees to accompany them.
