Get In Loser, We're Going Hunting

As he screwed around by the fire pit, a soft voice from behind pulled his attention away. Chimera peered over one thick shoulder and saw Reila peeking out from under the cart. Even from where he stood, he could see the uncertainty on her face. And, even if he hadn't been able to see her, it was thick in her voice. She was hesitant to ask him to join her again, but she'd managed to do so. He couldn't let that go unrewarded.

The big brute padded across the cathedral towards the cart. Once there, it took some fenagling, but he was able to squeeze himself back beneath it without asking Reila to step out. At least there weren't puddles under the cart and he was still rather tired. It was a tight fit, so the behemoth had no choices but to raise his foreleg and pull the woman against him once more. "If you can sleep, do so. Don't be afraid." He imagined she would feel nervous and worried that she might lose control again, but he didn't care. She would be of little use if she was tired during the entire journey. If he had to pull her in the cart too, he would, but he didn't really want to.

The rest of the night was uneventful. Chimera managed to get some more sleep, but whether or not the woman did, he wasn't sure. With first light, the pair was up and moving, taking their haul back home.
