Aurore had cracked pads, they stung with every pawstep but she had to keep pushing forward. The exiled princess felt shamed but it didn't even put a bruise on her ego nor her strength. It was just another hurdle to jump through with caution and finesse. She let a deep breathe travel through her as she pushed forward into the cave to rest for the night. It was dark out and the moonlight was the only source of peace she had. She hated the dark, she didn't fear it, not even close, but she disliked it greatly because she felt it covered up the strongest of her senses.


The fallen warrior queen had dragged in a squirrel with her to munch on as a dinner before she was to find herself in a peaceful slumber for the night so she might travel in the morning. She then inhaled softly through her nose as she went through her fur, smoothing it out after a long days travel and making sure there were no burrs or anything of the sort. A small yawn from her muzzle as she gave a small burp from her meal and let her dark gray and brown head rested on her light brown and creme paws. Her piercing amber eyes looked out the den with a small smile on her muzzle. Would anyone dare disturb her?

Gitan did not often travel so far north, no he avoided it as a general rule, in fact the last time he had been up here he had met his precious Symphony. That was what drew him here now, she had been missing for some days now and he was worried. He hadn?t wanted to leave the pups, but had managed to track down one of the Destruction family to look after them and promised to return in a day. He would not abandon them. He had hoped to find his snowy mate at the falls where they had first met only to find those lands were claimed by a pack. He was out of ideas and the night was creeping in upon the world. He would need to find a place to rest soon if he was to return to his kids by the next day. So as the moon took its place in the sky and the stars danced to life did her approach a cavern. Forest gaze met amber as he stepped into the cave. He should have been aware of the scent as he drew closer but he was so sick with worry he had failed to note it. The woman first saw the man then she heard the swearing under his breathe and a small grin flashed on her muzzle. French swearing. "J'appr?cierais si vous vous abstenez de telles langage grossier en ma pr?sence monsieur." she pursued in fluent French, her tone unwavering and stern as if she were requiring it almost. She called in a soft breathe as she rose from the dirt, shaking her fur briefly before speaking once more. "Pleasure to meet you however foul your words. You were not disturbing me from much. I high doubt I would have gotten into a sleep either way." She offered up with a small smile to the man.


Her paws still stung as she rose in the dirt and the only sign was the slightest wince when she had first risen. The former warrior queen could not show the weaknesses of pain, it would make her appear weaker than she knew she was. She had felt stupid for revealing as much as she had about the stinging sensation that constantly plagued her paws. Her fur ruffled slightly as a small gust of wind went ripping through the cave. Her lean muscles pushed off from the ground as she walked towards the cave entrance. She gazed outside to see if there was more than just him. When she was confident there was not she returned inside the cave.

It took him slightly aback as the young female before him chastised him in his tongue, but he quickly began to grin. Pardonnez-moi Mademoiselle.
