The knowledge that he had not killed his niece, that he could return home, that he wasn't going to die, left Eligos faintly perturbed, but awoke the need to make something of himself and his pack if he was going to be around. Invigorated in his purpose and armored, he strode onto the battlefield and raised his head to call for an opponent. The lair of malinois flanked him, Kida with her usual intensity and Cypher looking very much as if he were confused why they hadn't returned to packlands yet - a look born out by the fact that he had just been asking that very question before they had crossed the border. Eligos had ignored him then, and ignored his sigh now, instead watching, and waiting.

Torben returned to the field of battle after a brief respite. He had not been dutiful with training, yet he had the stamina to stand in a fight easily. He regarded the other wolf at a distance before walking closer, slowing his pace eventually as he stood in front of him now. "Ye up for a spar?" he asked, knowing the answer but needing consent "I'll fight ye." Two Dire wolves, one was armed to the teeth. The other was naked as the day they entered the world. Torben planted his feet, balancing. He was not going to lose if he could help it, even if he would accept the loss. His pursuit of a higher rank in Valhalla required him to know how to fight better. He'd make sure to show his mettle if he could. Having fought the High King and won, he felt a bit of confidence. SPEECH HERE

A wolf appeared to his summons in short order. Eligos stared back flatly at the question asked - if he hadn't wanted a spar, he wouldn't have called for one, would he have? - but he said nothing of those thoughts, just inclining his head in assent. The wolf bore the scene of Valhalla fresh and new, though that did not affect his strategy one way or the other except as the observation that they would likely one day face one another in a raid. He settled easily into a fighting stance, gesturing to make it clear that the other wolf could go first. Armored as he was it was relatively safe to allow the other wolf the first movements, and it would allow him to observe further.

Consent was a thing he required and respected. Torben could have easily thrown himself at the dark hued man, but he preferred to err to respect and courtesy. The albino rolled his eyes over the armored man, taking in his defenses. He had leather set and armor. All defensive, especially the horns. He was a Dire too, so Torben didn't need to require shoving his own weight to win. But win or lose, the experience was welcomed. The other wolf inclined Torben to begin. With a quick think, he rushed the other head-on. He could have veered to the side to avoid the bulk of the armor, but he didn't. Torben lowered his thick neck, aiming to grab one of the man's forelegs and yank. He attempted this to the best of his ability, knowing he could miss or even become vulnerable. SPEECH HERE
