A pleasant day to kill

Kotori sat on a pleasantly green hill, the grass laden with morning due and the sky a brilliant clean blue with two large fluffy white clouds. Below, buffalo were grazing on the flatter portion of land. He’d had plenty of food lately so there was no need to hunt nor was he foolish enough to attack a buffalo by himself. However, he felt a peaceful presence at the moment. Maybe he’d just been ready for a short break from his focused goal.
A scent behind causes Kotori to turn his head, standing up quickly as a snarl parts his muzzle. The tiger had thought Kotori so distracted as not to notice its approach. Kotori didn’t wait, he charged the tiger who showed a moment of surprise before roaring, raising up a front paw, mouth opening ready to make a fast meal of what it thought a foolish wolf by his charge.
Kotori circled wide to try and get around the cat but it was moving in time with him. Kotori feined to continue circling to the right, hit the breaks, and ran past the cat, using his horns to slash its shoulder as he charges past, quickly spinning about to face the angry tiger. The first point was Kotori’s.

When Keahi had awoken this morning, the fluffy white clouds that crossed the sky had promised a warm day. It had kept that promise, the brilliant blue sky looks down on the red woman that races across the lands. While it still not as warm as she would like, and she has to wear her polar bear armor, the mostly cloudless sky has excitement zipping through her veins. She crests a green grassy hill and pauses to catch her breath, scenting the air as she waits. Eyebrows lift as she finds a familiar wolf on the breeze, along with…
Red paws silently race across the grassy hills as Keahi moves to intercept the tiger that stalks Kotori, arriving after the cat has engaged with the earthen male. As Ko moves to rush past the feline, the red woman charges straight at the distracted predator, managing to bite the tiger’s neck before it realizes there is a second wolf to deal with. She ducks away, keeping the cat’s attention on her as Kotori ends up behind the large feline. A wink is given to the earthen male before Keahi turns her attention back to the angry, hissing cat.
"Keahi Mogotsi"

Keahi runs in to join the fray. Kotori notices her biting the animal's neck and moving away before it can attack. The tiger’s surprise will only last for so long and Kotori chooses to make the most of it. Rushing in Kotorip leaps up, his legs landing on top of the tiger as he bites into the middle of its back, ripping up the flesh between the two shoulder legs and causing a yowl of pain from the cat.
The angry feline spins to get revenge on Kotori. It attempts to lunge in with both one paw and its teeth. Kotori leaps back far enough to not get struck but doesn’t try to retreat further or turn to a side. He keeps towards its face, letting it forget about Keahi who it had been so intent on just a moment prior.

The tiger is surprised by the red woman’s attack and Kotori uses that distraction to his advantage. As the earthen male leaps atop the feline’s back, Keahi works to keep its focus on her. Snarling, she lunges forward, feigning an attack at its cheek that has the cat swiping at her. A yowl rips from the tiger’s throat as Kotori lands once more, the cat turning rapidly to swing at him.
Tsk, tsk. Never turn your back on a predator! Keahi backs away as the cat turns, allowing it to turn without bumping into her. Once it is facing the earthen male, the red wolf rushes in, going for the hind leg closest to her and shreds the flesh, muscles, and tendons at the joint. Its leg gives out and a hiss of uncertainty is released as the red woman backs up and prepares to attack it one more time.

The tiger has to realize its fate. It can’t keep up with defending. Each time a wolf attacks it turns to retaliate only to be attacked by the opposite wolf. Once more it spins to attack Keahi as she takes a back leg out of use.
The moment its head turns from Kotori the wolf lunges in, biting into a front leg, crushing its leg between its teeth, tearing into the ligaments, and cracking the bone. Two legs injured the tiger can hardly do more than stand there. Should it try to attack the cat will surely fall down. It can’t even run now. Panting the cat looks helplessly between the two wolves. Standing it can still at least lash out when someone gets in front of his face but that’s it. It would die soon.

The tiger senses that it is losing and turns to try and attack the red woman who has just rendered its back leg useless. However, the moment it turns, Kotori lunges forward and renders one of its front legs useless. Keahi sees the fear in the normally strong predator’s eyes, the slow dawning of realization that it will not be making out of here alive, and the pain that resides in its gaze. At this point, it is really just a mercy killing and the tropical wolf tells herself just that as she slams her frame into the immobile tiger.
Unable to brace itself, the cat hisses and collapses onto its side, good legs trying to swipe at the wolves. Trusting Ko to pin the flailing limbs, Keahi moves up to the felines head and quickly reaches in to rip open its throat. Blood pools, the cat’s body twitches as its life leaves and the red woman looks to Kotori with blood staining her lips, “Been a bit, Kotori.” A smile is on her lips as she licks away the blood, tail wagging loosely at her hips.
