Was he hunting the deer he chased along the rugged cliffs? Not really. This was mostly just a game, but if it ended in a meal then he wouldn't turn it down. Kerberos was having fun chasing the ungulate, snapping wildly at it's heels in threat of tearing it's leg out from underneath it. Perhaps it would be fun to do exactly that, to bring the animal to the ground and prolong its suffering in another way. He wouldn't get much of the chance, however, as a moment later the deer simply vanished. Kerberos skidded to a stop, his toes coming close to the edge of the cliff that the deer had fallen down. He thought he could faintly hear the sound of a splash! below, but he couldn't see it well enough to tell. Had the animal not been right in front of him, the downpour of a storm would have blinded him entirely to the certain death below. Kerberos scooted away from the cliff and sighed.

Well, that wasn't satisfying. Thunder groaned in the dark clouds above, lightning cracking over the sky as the torrential storms prevented one from seeing more than a few feet before them. Kerberos squinted through the rain, but it was no use. With the storm, there was no way he could get back down unless he chased another animal and that was risky the first time. He doubted he'd be so lucky to find something else up in these cliffs to chase down, so he was stuck. At least until the storm lulled, at least, since he couldn't see far enough in front of him to find shelter and the risk of the edge was too high. Frustrated and bored, Kerberos slumped down to wait out the storm.

"Speech!"
