Expansion. The next step for Ashen. As the ranks began to fill and pups started to grow, there was a need for more space. Thankfully, just north of their territory, an abundant river she was familiar with hadn't been claimed by anyone yet. After her promotion, the petite girl was excited about this development. If they were successful in hunting at the Rio Grande, she would be proving not only to herself but to the other hunters within the pack. Moving swiftly from Ashen's lands with her group in tow, Celeste tossed a look back at who Venom had gathered for her. Knowing they were all capable of what she had in mind, she smiled and continued forward in silence. No sense in revealing her surprise ahead of time. Rain had recently fallen, leaving the ground muddy beneath her paws. Coating her white-gloved paws brown, she made sure not to slip as the river came into view. Slowing to a stop at the river's edge that ebbed and flowed, she turned to her larger companions. Having to glance up at everyone sure made her neck sore at times. "Our goal here is to catch a somewhat rare fish," Celeste started as she looked at each individual. "It's called the Arapaima and can grow up to ten feet in length. They're mostly black and green in color with red tails and ugly faces. We can either try to find a big one altogether or break up into two groups, what say you guys?" She wanted their opinion, didn't want to seem too much of a dictator, you know? But if they wanted it to be her decision, she would make one. OOC: Posting rotation is requested at 3 days each. Ike still felt a little nervousness in her belly as she realized Ashen’s growing numbers were in part some of her fault. She invited Remus to live in the pack when they were creeping up in number. So she thought it fully appropriate when Venom named her and her siblings as the wolves needed to go with their Renja to see if these chosen lands would be able to support them.
Since bringing Remus into Ashen Ike had been training hard to hone her hunting skills. The princess didn’t see it, after a lifetime of clumsy actions and ungraceful movement, but all of her hard work was beginning to pay off. Now that she had entered full adulthood the way she moved and acted changed. Each step of her mismatched paws was done with a hard won grace. Battling against her body grew the young woman into complete control of every tiny muscle. Ever present paranoia built her a perfect stance, all the princess was missing now was confidence. She didn’t believe in herself, and that was the most obvious in the way she carried herself.
Princess Kiyohime sent up a silent prayer when they finally came to a halt before the wide river, Celeste easily caught her attention when she began to speak. Ike had been fishing for her entire life, to the point she didn’t even consider it hunting; it came so naturally to the island born girl. All of a sudden the weight she felt was lifted from her shoulders, she could fish. "We should bring home the biggest one in the river.” Ike spoke up with a grin on her features, finally loosening up at the prospects ahead of them.
