Let me see the truth

He drifted easily from his den, giving Eria a lick a tender lick in farewell before ruffling Isis's fur jokingly and checking Erion's makeshift cast. It was about time that he called Odette and Alpine together for a little meeting to go over some herbs, he had to admit to being distracted by the well being of his son since the earthquake but today Erion seemed a bit less ready to run around just to get some exercise and rebreak his leg. So the male would drift out of the den and make his way across the plains at an easy trot. Head was carried parallel to his back and tail drifted at his heels. There was no dominant posture to the male despite his ranking, it would be hard to differentiate him from an omega if someone happened across him and didn't already know him. He had not brought any herbs with him today, it was fall so many of his usual herbs were no longer growing but the first frost had yet to come and wipe out all the plants. Today he wanted to work on treating superficial wounds, look at some plants that had natural antibiotics that worked to fight infection. It was one of this first things his mother had taught him so he figured it was a good place to start. Slowly he woulda slip into the moor, the for dancing and licking at his ankles as he made his way through what seemed like rows and rows of plants. Though they didn't exactly have 'rows' per say it did seem like the healers here had been through a lot and begun to wear pathways between the more useful plants. He continued on until he found a bushel of plants he liked. A few were starting to wilt, either from the heat or the lower temperatures at night he didn't know, but they could still be useful none the less. Head would tip back as he chose his place, a long easy howl drifting from his lips calling for Odette and Alpine. Hopefully they didn't have other more important things to do. |

Odette Adravendi |
Another morning had been met by Odette before the sun had risen. In her eyes, she was the reason each day began anew. Yes, Odette thought she was the beacon of light that Ala needed every morning, even if the sun got all the credit for lighting up the continent. She stood with a domineering appearance on top of the highest hill in the Valley, looking off into the distance at the rising sun. Pinks and grays appeared before the bright bulb touched the sky, stretching out to touch the furthest shadows of Valhalla. It made Odette's heart swell with pride and she silently descended from her perch. Odette had chosen to take this morning off from studying her fighting skills. A good thing too, for Friction's familiar howl sounded off from the direction of the moor. She pondered what the older male was calling for, so like many times before, curiosity pulled her away from the Plains and across their borders. It didn't take long for Odette to gracefully sweep her way over the moor's border. She avoided the places where one could fall and be lost forever, something she didn't want to do just yet. It seemed as if she was doing an imaginary dance involving hopscotch, one or two paws going in the air with each skip and jump. She playfully yipped, not caring if she went noticed or not. It wasn't everyday that the growing girl had fun. Since her new rank had been given, Odette spent all her time practicing and enjoying her lessons. Maybe today would be another one? She wasn't sure. "Good morning, Friction!" She yelled in a sing-song voice, tunes elegant and filled with a lovely soprano note. Odette couldn't help but giggle as she met the man's eyes, of which were sparkling with happiness and a bit of determination. Ever since he had arrived with Eria, Odette knew that it was fate. She silently hoped to find a love that would make her happy, and in that instant, she saw the familiar memory of purple eyes with a dark purple background. A sigh escaped her lips and she continued to trot towards the male and his chosen bush. "What are we learning today?" she inquired. It was no shock that he only called for healer lessons, so she figured this was what he had called for. I speak |

The call would find him within the relative comfort of his den. With the soft sun gentle against his entryway, warming to his shelter it was oddly difficult to rouse himself and rise to his paws. He tilted his head, listening as the last remnants of the howl would die out around him. He was certain that the caller was Friction, but his last listen to the call gave him little to go on for its reason. For a heart wrenching moment he thought it might be bad news of Erion, and without a second thought he was gone from his den and into the light of day.
Even as he raced against the territory his foggy, early morning brain got to working. No, the call haden't sounded urgent or sad, at least what he had heard of it didn't. There where other reasons Friction might call him, after all he had agreed to apprentice Alpine in healing. He would calm a little and slow as he approached, and as he finished the steps into view he would see also that Friction was not alone. His last ounce of worry dissipated as he saw in intent in Friciton's eyes, this was a healing lesson and nothing to do with the state of Erion. He offered a smile to the girl that had also joined them. He was surprised that on a second intake he realised he recognised her, they had run into each other before and he found himself blushing, he hadn't been in a good state of mind at the time. All the same, his smile to her was warm as he inclined his head her way and stepped closer to Friction. ?Friction! It's good to see you, how is Erion fairing?? it was still hard to fully let go of any worries he might harbour for that bright pup.

Odette was first not surprisingly, hopping and bounding through the moor like the child she still seemed to be and yet? Had she grown? Friction squinted, head tipping a bit to see if his eyes deceived him but no? She looked different, not taller or thicker but simply more toned he would say. Muscles rippled underneath that pelt, obviously her other training was paying off. He knew it was Chrys and Eria she was training with, he would have to ask her about it. So as she approached, calling out a cheerful greeting he couldn't help but smile, lips curling up in a wolfish grin as he waited for her to draw closer."Good morning Odette. I'll tell you in a moment, we have one more joining us today?" His mood always seemed to brighten around the girl, ever since the first time they had met ages ago he had always enjoyed her company. It seemed as if on cue Alpine would appear, looking like he had actually run a distance. "Odette this is Alpine if you haven't met?" He said easily as, motioning to the white wolf as he approached though he didn't move from his seat near the plants he had chosen. Head would tip simply as Alpine asked about Erion and Friction couldn't help but chuckle. "Isis has been keeping him company thankfully but still going crazy with boredom unfortunately?" He said, shoulders lifting in an easy shrug. What could they do? Erion was bored but he had quite a while before he could walk on his leg and there was no was Friction was going to let him risk rebreaking his leg. But that was something he had to deal with daily, he was here to distract himself from that while he could. "So? I figure we'll go over some of the basics. So far I've told you both the basics that I carry around. Today we're going to expand on that a bit. I think we'll look at how to deal with open wounds, stopping bleeding and long term care. Unless there is something else you guys are interested in learning specifically?" He asked easily, head tipping as he looked from Alpine to Odette. |
