Send Me On My Way

When darkness begins to fall, the pups stir, their time to go exploring comes with the approaching night. Enki rolls onto his belly, disengaging from the tangle of puppy bodies to stand and shake out his coat. Once he is done, they are all ushered outside and the small pup eagerly runs along. They have been told to stay close to the den, their mother, father and all sorts of animals watching over them to make sure they do as told.

The volcano is great and all but, today, the nook calls to him and the small pup looks for an opening to slip away. Two of siblings begin to make a ruckus and, as all the watchful eyes turn toward them, Enki silently moves away from the group and travels down into the neighboring territory. Paws touch the ground of the nook and the pup races away, enjoying the freedom this night offers. A stream soon catches his attention and Enki changes course to run alongside it.

Short legs push him forward as the wind whips against his face and a huge smile is on his light lips. An object appears in the distance and the pup slows his joyful run, uncertain of what this thing is and choosing to approach the strange place with caution. It seems to be some sort of structure with an expansive garden stretching out around it. Enki approaches the beautiful, strange, exotic plants that surround the building and carefully sniffs one, wondering what kind of things this plant heals.
