Since Aerie became a band, Ina had taken the time to scout some lands and better get to know any potential areas they might move to since they were no longer permanently living in the lands they claimed not too long ago. Her kids were a year old now, and for too long she sat sick and idle and had done little to prepare them for the world. Today, however, she would call for March and Morax to see where their skillsets were, and to see where they needed to improve or what sort of guidance they might need. March especially. After all, her daughter had been sick alongside her, unable to do as much as her siblings. Approaching the windswept sandstones, she figured this would be a good a place as any to gather the pair, and then she would go from there. Tilting her head back, she summoned the two children to her. It was a call that for once, demanded their presence.

March's ears flicked as her mother's voiced broke the quiet ambience, the whistling of wind, the occasional clatter of rocks. The canyon was empty, filled only with harsh summer light and swirling currents. Perhaps the air, as active and flowing as water, gave this place its name. Or perhaps it was nothing but a cruel misnomer, a promise to a thirsty traveller with the intent of never being fulfilled. A black comedy.

She made her way to her mother, ever the obedient child. As she came into view, she wondered idley if her mother had been built for these deserts. She knew how much importance she gave hygiene, and she knew how quickly sand and dirt and mud clogged the empty spaces between fur. March's coat had always seemed flat and coarse compared to Ina's.

"Mom?" She questioned simply, unclear on the purpose of this meeting, unsure of the meaning it held. She looked to her for answers.
