The stars hung high and light in the night sky above Rhian. She had made a little temporary scrape in the ground to sleep in, as she did pretty much every night since she had no permanent place to stay, but she'd laid in it for what must have been at least an hour and she just couldn't sleep. Her mind was awake. Why? She didn't know. She was physically tired out enough from running around all day, and it was certainly dark enough -- despite the full moon -- and as safe as it ever was -- which wasn't very, but Rhian was lucky. But whatever the reason, she figured laying around and praying for sleep to come wouldn't help, so she'd given up and was sitting on the edge of the water, watching the falls and just thinking.
