Avantika was pretty confident in her fighting skills -- of course she was, it was kinda her job. And also her main hobby since puppyhood -- but that didn't mean it wasn't important to stay in practice. Besides, spars were just fun! It had been far too long since the workaholic Vanguard had actually had fun. Or met anybody new. So coming out of the Hallows' territory to hunt for a sparring partner would serve a few purposes.

She was trying really hard to get herself out of the working grind she'd slipped into a while ago, and she was pretty sure she was almost out of it. She'd always be a little anxious when she was out of howling range of her family, but she could actually leave the territory without having a panic attack now. And she could sleep. Which -- believe it or not -- was pretty good for helping her to actually enjoy life again. A part of her was still holding its breath, lying in wait until she had yet another reason to fall back on old patterns. But she was... Happy. For now.

She called for a spar, a soft smile pulling at the edges of her mouth.
