Today little Rivin was pushing boundaries and going beyond what she knew she was allowed to do. She figured her daddy might get mad if she crossed the pack’s borders without him but she had gotten close the other day, seeing the Gulley beyond, and she had gotten so excited at seeing all the different plants and whatnot… she just wanted to go grab some. Surely if she went out, grabbed a plant, and came back to their side of the border things would be okay? She wiggled a little, her green gaze set with determination as she crossed over that invisible border.

She’d done it! She was over the border! Rivin grinned a little as she looked over her shoulder back the way she’d come. Wouldn’t Diablo and Aresenn be jealous when they found out she was a big girl and had gone into a neighboring land all by herself!? She raced forward to the first patch of plants she could see, though she wasn’t even really sure which one would be worth grabbing. Hmm, how would her mommy have chosen a plant? Was there something special about them that she didn’t know about?

An area that was rich in flora was an ideal place to do some herb hunting. Now that she knew she didn’t loose her skills of herb hunting she was eager to keep collecting. Enough to have on hand to treat her, her daughter, and their companions. Plus she also wanted some to trade. Trading from what she remembered was a good way to receive other goods and even trinkets. Since they had no pack it could also be a good way to gain some positive reputation. What she gathered she would give lessons to Ulula on so that she was able to pass her knowledge on and to further bond with her daughter.

She led the way into the Gulley and when they reached the gulley her pace slowed down, as her good eye roved the surroundings before her. Looking for familiar leaves and flowers so that she could find the herbs within this area. Ulula trailed behind her so that today she could get a lesson. Actaea intended to teach her correctly and visual and hands on was the best way to tech someone. Lecturing was another way but Actaea felt that it didn’t sink in as much until you actually do it.

She spotted a potential spot and began heading that direction until Boris let out a loud grunt making her pause mid step. It was in the direction of her blind eye so she had to turn her whole head until her good eye could see the large pup not far from them. She seemed to be looking through the plants. Ulula came up beside her and whispered in her ear stating she didn’t see a parent nearby which made her wonder where the pup came from. None the less if the pups was also looking for her a might as well give a lesson to her, that is if she wanted it. She redirected her step and casually approached the pup.

”Are you looking for herbs as well?” she asked.

Boris the Boar and Lorenzo the opossum are assumed to be with her at all times.

Note: I do not have a reference of her scars yet, please refer to her appearance section of profile to read about them

Ulula was finally getting her knowledge fix since they had settled down in the weeping willows. She was even delighted that her mother seemed to ease up and started acting more like herself now. She was happy that things seemed to be returning to normal, despite the physical changes in her life. She was liking this place and hoped that her mother planned to stay here.

She fallowed along quietly behind her mother, her fiery eyes taking in everything around her. This was another territory she had yet to explore and she was keeping a mental log of how to get here so she could explore it on another day. Today there was a mission, a lesson that her mother was planning to teach and she wanted to absorb the entire lesson.

She heard Boris’ alert grunt and immediately looked in the direction he was to spot a pup. Fiery eyes scanned the area but did not see an adult near by. Did she wander off from one of the packs? She eased up to her mothers side and stopped tipping her muzzle towards her ear.

”I do not see any parent or adult nearby,” she whispered before fallowing her over closer.

The choice of what flower to pick was harder than Rivin thought it would be. She frowned thoughtfully, a soft whine escaping her lips as she looked over each one. Why did there have to be so many options? She didn’t just want to pick a flower that was useless either. Her mother had been a healer and, with Eden missing, wasn’t it Rivin’s duty as her daughter to become a good healer in her place for the Pirates? Her ears flicked back against her skull and she cast another glance back towards the borders of the Plunder. She couldn’t stay out here all day alone… her daddy would get mad for sure! Okay, okay, breathe and think… maybe if she just grabbed a bunch of different ones she could sort out what they did later?

At least that was her thought until she heard someone nearby. She turned her head, eyes widening as she saw not just one creature, but two wolves and multiple companions. Oh… Oh boy. Rivin bristled a little at the sight of them, the young pup becoming guarded at first, especially with the disappearance of her mother and brother. These guys were strangers! But the scarred lady was speaking to her, and she didn’t sound mean or cruel. Actually, with the scars, she kind of reminded Rivin of her daddy. Her coat color was different too. Not bright red like Ignis, but it wasn’t what Rivin would consider the normal color of a wolf. Her fur lowered and she leaned closer to sniff the air for their scent.

They didn’t seem like they were part of the Plunder… but… Rivin frowned thoughtfully. “I was looking at them. My mama was a healer, but she disappeared before she could teach me anything about them.” She puffed up a little and became defensive again. “Don’t think I’ll be easy to grab just because I like the flowers though! I’ll bite!” There was a mix of curiosity and distrust in the pup currently. “And if I yell my daddy will be here in a second! He’s even bigger than you, and scarred up and red! He won’t like it if you’re thinking about taking me or hurting me!” Not that she had any proof of them considering either thing, but better safe than sorry, right?
