After speaking to his Wife and Azure, the Warlord had made his way into the woods. Close to the borders on the other side. He stood there for a moment, looking out into the summer territories beyond. It had been a long time since all of his children had been home. He wasn’t certain what exactly would happen from here. Would they all answer his invitation? He only knew that the thought of seeing them again left a flutter of hope in his chest. He wouldn’t speak out loud how badly he wanted this.

Raising his head, the Warlord let out a long and loud howl. Letting the notes linger in the air for a long, long time. He sent Marshal out as well, to find any of his children he could and deliver the message. Would all of his children get it? He had sent Basilisk’s flyer to Auster so that Briar would hear the news first. Having the furthest to travel. Then there was Asla, Indy, and Mortis who had united under Kotori’s banner. That was where Marshal would travel.

Kotori was surprised at the sight of Marshall as the bird came to deliver the message. How many litters was his old man going to have? Sure, his dad wasn’t ancient but he was getting up there for having kids. Kotori grinned as he hoped to have just as many litters in his future. Lots of amazing kids that would all be worthy of his blood.

Kotori had made sure Marshall’s message was passed on to all in his family. The Sumatar of Valta finished up a few remaining tasks but then left to see his father and these new children. It was quite the hike now to get to armada but the young alpha was happy to make it. He hadn’t gotten to spend much time with his father since he’d left. So he had new brothers and sisters to meet along with talking of recent events of both dad and himself.

When Kotori spotted the woods in the distance, a sign he was nearly to the Armada Kotori would howl to let his father know Kotori had finally arrived. There was so much to do this would have to be a fast visit but there was a long future ahead of them and an upcoming party. Were the kids old enough to show up to the party?

The arrival of Azure’s winged companion came as little surprise to Artorias. Sirius and Zee had accompanied the Carpathius family back to the Hallows following their visit to the Armada with the good news that the retired Warlord and his Queen were expecting another litter of pups. It was exciting news, and Artorias had made sure that Zee received the best neonatal care the Hallows could provide during their respite with them down in Auster. When the Fatalises had returned north for Zee to birth the children, the Aegis had worried for his mother-in-law’s wellbeing. The Armada had capable healers, he was sure, but a pregnancy so late in life was always risky. The news that the pups had been born with no issues had been a relief, and the summons to come meet the newest additions to the Fatalis brood was a welcome invitation! The Carpathius had sent their RSPV back promptly, letting Sirius and Zee know they would attend.

With the alpha couple of the Hallows expecting their own little wolf nuggets, planning the trip north was a more delicate matter than it had been in the past. Briar would have insisted she was fine to walk in the early stages of her pregnancy, but the overly protective Artorias refused to hear it. And so the Hallows alphas arrived to Armada lands with Briar being carried by one of their alpacas in a fur-laden cart, much like Zephyrus had been on their last trip so she could rest in between short stints of walking. In the bed of the cart, his sword lay stowed away. Artorias was a nervous father-to-be and he wasn’t taking any risks with his wife or his growing pups’ safety. Arriving to the border of the dense woods of towering trees, Artorias released a call to announce their arrival in response to the Fatalis patriarch’s welcome, leading the way past the border in search of his in-laws, remembering how Seer had fussed at him for not just walking in the last time they had visited.

It didn’t take long for the Aegis to follow the sounds of activity to find his extended family, Sirius and Kotori already gathered near the border. A warm smile graced his youthful features, and he was quick to approach his father-in-law and embrace him. "You’re positively glowing, Seer! Are the little wolflets making you go gray yet?" Art teased the older dire, a wide grin on his face and a chuckle pulling from his chest. Then he turned to regard Kotori with a polite nod and smile to his brother-in-law. "Nice to see you again, Kotori. How goes life as an alpha?"

Receiving such a request from her father had been more than a little shocking. Marshal delivered the invitation to come and meet her parents newest litter and Aslatiel had simply sat there for quite some time, watching the large bird disappear off into the distance. She had forwarded the message to Indigo, Mortis and Kotori.

Asla hadn't send word back to say whether she was coming or not because she wasn't sure if she was actually going until that very day. Kotori was ready to go and the scarred woman decided then and there. With Aia alternating between scampering about and riding in Indigo's mane, they all made their way to the new Armada lands.

Since Kotori had announced their presence, Asla didn't bother with howling to announce her own. Her younger brother went ahead first. As they moved forward, she caught sight of her father speaking to Artorias. Asla felt strange. She didn't know what sort of reunion this was going to be, but she wouldn't pretend to be anything other than what she was. With Aia nestled down almost unseen in Indigo's mane, the trio moved forward.

The cream and grey fae made no move to embrace her father. If he wished it, he could have one, but sadly, she didn't know where they stood. Instead she simply gave a faint smile and a nod then looked about for her mother.

Indigo wasn’t so surprised about being summoned to the northern reaches to meet with his father and the newest of his children. Sirius had always tried to instill the importance of family, but part of Indy wondered how much of his views were fantasy over reality. Indigo had settled into Valta quite well, and he couldn’t deny how good it felt to be in the presence of his family. So there was a huge portion of his heart that hoped that this reunion was as beautiful and rewarding as he knew his father wished it to be. The maned man hadn’t been sure that Aslatiel was going to come, or if he would be allowed to bring their sweet Aia. But then the day came, and Kotori led them on this newest of trips.

Aia snuggled in against his mane as they arrived, she had spent equal parts walking on her own and doing a little exploring as she had nestled in his thick fur. She was getting bigger, but not much. He wondered if she ever really would get much bigger than she was now. Even if she remained small Indigo’s love for her only grew with every day that passed with her. He was so happy to have her here.

He fell in behind Kotori, but beside Aslatiel. He had realized that he couldn’t live his life without her by his side. He’d nearly destroyed himself trying, now that he accepted his fate. This was who he was, and he held his head high as he approached Sirius as he spoke with the Hallows Alpha, Artorias. With a hesitant grin he lowered his head in greeting while still uncertain what to expect.

Briar had only begrudgingly accepted her husband's insistence that she make the trip to meet her newest siblings in the cart that was pulled by one of their alpacas. Her mood and emotions were already swinging wildly as her hormones in the early stages of her pregnancy ran amok, so the trip there she fell everywhere on the spectrum from absolutely insulted that Artorias thought she was so fragile that she couldn't make the trip on her own to grateful that he had insisted so that she could rest and even nap along the way. She was only just far enough into her pregnancy to begin to show—her stomach rounded in a way that made it obvious that they were expecting, but certainly not large enough yet to cause any real hindrance in her daily life. Still, Artorias wouldn't hear of her making a trip to the northern parts of Boreas without riding in the cart so if it was that or not meet them until well after her own children were born then she would make the compromise.

When they neared the border, she heard her father's howl, soon followed by Kotori's and Artorias as the males began to convene and find each other in the woods that were claimed by the Armada. She stopped the alpaca that had been pulling her along through the trip and stepped off of the cart before they reached them, refusing to be seen in such a state, and gave her fur a quick shake to smooth it before she trotted over to Artorias' side to go meet up with their family. She of course saw her father and littermate first and smiled while Artorias went to greet and embrace his father in law, but as Art did that she glanced behind Kotori and saw Asla and Indigo walking up behind their brother to join in on the group as well. Her gaze widened with pleasant surprise and a big grin spread over her features.

"Asla!" she greeted excitedly as she hurried over to her older sister, embracing her happily while her braided tail swayed rapidly behind her. It had been so long since she had seen Asla and she was very much happy that she had decided to come. As soon as she leaned back from her sister she pivoted to Indigo, giving him a grin and embracing the larger man as well. She didn't know Indigo nearly as well as Asla, but all of her memories of him were fond ones and she was just happy to be around all of her family again.
