Curious Visitors [GATHERING]

CALLISTO
Walk | Talk | Think The time of the tournament had finally rolled around and Callisto was not exactly thrilled. She tended to be a quiet individual, reserving her conversations for those that she could benefit from it, on the rare occasion, those who could benefit from her. And truth be told she liked the quiet, the tightness of her pack that kept everyone together and too busy to notice her as she skirted along the edges of the main group and simply applied herself entirely to learning from Maximous. She was coming along well and still had a ways to go yet. What was the point of putting off her learnings to socialize? But at the same time, however, she did not want undue attention being drawn to her because of her unsociable behavior. Likely they would learn she was failing to make any lasting relationships among her pack mates and make her venture out to speak more. What a nightmare that would be. So as a preventative measure she ventured from the comfort of her den as out into the world of the Stone Steppe, wandering about quietly with a guarded sort of expression. Perhaps, if she was lucky, no one would try conversing with her and she could at least say she tried. Hopeful that that might be the case, she continued to move around, her stoic expression even more serious than usual as a deterrent from curious visitors. Image by Maka. |

CALLISTO
Walk | Talk | Think As soon as she spotted the wolf walking towards her she knew she was in trouble. For starters, she was smiling, like these arrangements and this tournament were perfectly acceptable and the prospect of having their home infested with strangers from neighboring packs was fun. Callisto could see already that this was someone either completely optimistic or easily entertained by things, and in neither case did she see the conversation going at all well for her. Would it have been too rude to blatantly roll her eyes before the wolf reached her? She supposed turning and walking away in the opposite direction would have been at any rate. Feeling cornered, Callisto stopped and waited impatiently, her jaws clenching in a moment of unrestrained frustration. The woman's chipper greeting came all too quickly, and because it was expected of her to play nice and make friends the grey-legged yearling put on a false smile that in no way reached her eyes and returned the greeting. "Hey!" Already she could feel the smile beginning to sip away and abandoning it altogether she continued in her more natural, rather bored sounding tone, "You from Ebony?" At least she could use this outdoor event to find a few more members of her pack and figure out their names, make an effort to seem like she was trying to find her place amongst them. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan. Image by Maka. |

CALLISTO
Walk | Talk | Think Oh, how was it that she always seemed to have the worst luck when "making friends?" She had one already who grated on her nerves, a white wolf with mischievous purple eyes and a grin that could get the hairs on the back of her neck up in the worst way. At least this wolf hardly seemed to type to wish to follow her around making threats and saying things to get under her skin. Or at least Callisto did not think she would. She was too full of smiles, too full of an insufferable inner brightness, to have anything about her to suggest malicious intent. No, as far she was concerned this wolf was as harmless as they came. Her smile was unfaltering where Callisto's had vanished, her voice chipper as she confirmed being a part of Ebony. Go figure. Despite their borders being open on this day there did seem to be surprisingly few visitors. Not that that was not preferable to the unsocial youth. Just surprising. "Isi," she repeated, saying the name for herself. Somehow it seemed suiting. Asked about herself, Calli paused for a moment to ready herself for more senseless converation before answering. "Yeah. Callisto. Sola-in-training." How much longer before she might get promoted to a true Sola? As much as she enjoyed training with Max - he was proving to be an excellent mentor - but she longed to be able to branch out on her own, to feel self-sufficient enough not to need someone's approval.
