Ysmir’s dark paws carried him to the castle’s larder. The hunters usually kept it well collected and tidy, but he’d noticed a couple of older stores were going unused. He was pretty sure nothing was yet inedible but it could use a bit of rearranging. The first to be put in the store should be the first to be used. The Hollows were quite well off, and most of them could afford to be picky. Ysmir would happily take it upon himself to make sure nothing went to waste though.
The tall man nosed open the door to the dark cellar and the preserved foods beyond. While he excelled in meats and animal products that was not all the Hallows had to offer. He’d had to broaden his horizons when it came to learned how to keep produce good for longer periods of time. Most of the fresh product was turned into the liquors and wines that decorated the shelves.
It wasn’t a massive job, but it was one that Ysmir could take personally. He did have a passion for food, and he hated seeing anything go to waste just because enough attention wasn’t paid properly.
