Her kids had made it to raiding age and she supposed that meant she had done her job (albeit poorly), and while it would have been nice to sit one out, they were down a body with Pyr gone. She didn't feel the need to open her mouth so simply met Sparrow's eyes and gave her a nod instead. She'd be there to participate, though they all knew she wasn't exactly the greatest fighter, she was still willing to give it a go, set some sort of example. She could practically feel Deluge bristling at the gesture but that only made the thought of getting inevitably knocked on her ass that much more appealing.

Deluge's short tail thumped as Sparrow acknowledged their new status as yearlings. Her front feet wanted to tippy-tap but she was supposed to be a grown up now so she did her best to hold them in place. It didn't stop a momentary throb brightening her bits that glowed just a bit though. "I think thats near where that lake we met up at was," She whispered to her brothers, knowing she had already unwittingly trespassed gave her a small boost of confidence. The leader guy had actually been pretty nice about the whole thing too, but raiding wasn't exactly personal. They were pirates after all. "Me too!" she added to the chorus of voices saying they would be coming.

Sakana's anxiety spiked just a little as his brothers said they would be taking part in the raid. Of course, they were a lot bigger than he was and they liked fighting... were good at it even. He, on the other hand enjoyed poking around in places he shouldn't and figuring out what different plants were good for. He looked at his mother with uncertainty. If she thought he was big enough to come along, then he would, but it was clear from the worry lines on his face and the way his ears turned slightly back that he didn't have confidence in himself, not the way the others did. Not yet.

Bit by bit other pirates began to trickle into the meeting. Rivin’s gaze swept over each wolf in turn but she said nothing. She didn’t need to, her body language betrayed how the girl felt. Her nose was scrunched up, her face twisted in a way that betrayed a look mixed with frustration and determination. Rivin’s ears had fallen back toward her neck and her green gaze had been narrowed. If this meeting was about what she expected, she was hoping that her lack of training wouldn’t hold her back from at least trying to participate and gain experience. And if it did? Well, that was how it went sometimes. Her expression would remain in that state until she noticed the large, red-furred form of her father. Ignis had become more distant than Rivin would have liked, but she sympathized with him. From the disappearance of her mother and brother to the events of Sammhain, to Pyralis’ passing, she was sure it was a lot for him to digest. It seemed as though life was hitting them with more and more shit as time went on and Rivin was about sick of it herself. So, when Ignis approached her, Rivin’s expression softened. She allowed him to nuzzle her, even returning the small gesture of affection and offering her father a small smile. Soon the meeting would begin and Rivin’s attention shifted to Sparrow. Some of the children of the pack were already yearlings, something that the girl was looking forward to becoming as well. The mention of their next raid target was brought up and Sparrow mentioned that it would be mandatory for the yearlings to participate with the rest of the raid being filled in by volunteers. Rivin sat up straighter. Would she be allowed to go if she voiced her interest? “I’ll go.” The youth states firmly. "Talk," 'Think.' |
Rivin has two companions - a bobcat and a wolverine. Unless otherwise mentioned IC, assume that they are close by.
She'd been much too young for the last few raids that the pirates had done and now she was finally gonna get to go along with them. Whatever feeling she was grappling with was briefly forgotten as she couldn't help but openly beam at the idea of finally getting to go out and plunder!
After taking count, Sparrow let loose a howl. It was decided. Raid Valhalla and make it out alive.
Sparrow has a female Harlequin Macaw named Pongolo and a male Capuchin monkey named Friar, and a hairless mushroom tuxedo cat named Beef Sandwich. She also has cat claws... and some weird leg spike things.
