Backdated to when Iolaire was visting the Armada

As the winter moves ever on, Andromeda finds herself filling more and more of her days with lessons. Fighting has always been important to her and the pack but there are other things that also peek her interest. It has been difficult to find a teacher for the more historical aspet of things but, when she found out that her aunt Iolarie was visiting, the pup had seen a golden opportunity. She had requested to learn from the world wise woman and was accepted.

Butterflies tickle her stomach as she moves to the agreed upon meeting area, curious as to how the woman will receive her. A spacious cave was set aside for them in the guest areas and Andy arrives at the threshold right on time. Pausing at the entry way, the girl softly calls, “Aunt Io? May I come in?” While it isn’t the den that Iolaire is using as for her room, the pup figures it is good manners to ask entry before stepping into any space not owed by her.


"Andromeda Fatalis"

There was a wealth of knowledge in Iolaire's skull. She wasn't a selfish woman, so when another showed interest in learning, she was always willing to help and fill someone else's skull with knowledge. The one asking for a lesson today was one of Sirius' children, no less. That made the child family as she did consider the man to be her unblooded brother.

The down side to having so much knowledge was that you never really knew what to teach someone without having it narrowed down. So, rather than think about a lesson beforehand, Io had to wait to see what the pup wanted to know. Then together they could figure something out. The best way really was for both sides to ask questions.

A voice from the door called, asking for entry. The black, grey and white woman waved one dexterous paw somewhat impatiently for the girl to enter. "Yes, yes. This is your home, girl. Not mine." Green and gold eyes fixed on the purple child and the old fae smiled. "Now, which one might you be?" There were so many wolves in the world and she had only seen the pups once before. Of course, they were all tiny then and she couldn't tell them apart.

"Iolaire"

When Andy asks if she can enter, the older woman’s voice ushers her in and the pup is quick to enter and approach her teacher. Seating herself in front of her auntie, the girl softly offers, “I am Andromeda but please, call me Andy.” A gentle smile is offered as she looks over the small woman, noting the way life has turned her muzzle gray and etched weary lines into her form. Head cants as she looks to her wise teacher and gently asks, “You have known my mom and dad for a long time… right?”

Sadness tugs at the lines of the girl’s face as she looks to her aunt, wishing to know every bit of the plethora of information she must have on her parents… particularly the mother she did not get the chance to know well. Soft tones gently ask, “What were they like? You know, before all this?” A lavender paw vaguely gestures around them, as she tries to show that she means the Armada as a whole. What were they like before the responsibilities of the pack? What were they like as friends?
