Shalla happened upon The Battlefield as she was heading up north. Rumors had been passed around about the territory being the place to go for spars so she figured she'd pop in for a spar while in the area. Shalla was somewhat experienced with fighting but she knew there was a long way to go until she was a confident fighter.

Light steps were made as the smaller fae made her way through the territory. Smells of stale blood and previous fighters filled her nose. Sharp yellow eyes scanned the region as she stepped into one of the rings. Shalla pulled in a breath before expelling a howl into the crisp winter air. She called forth anyone willing to participate in a spar with her.

Confidence was something that Cy could at least fake. Maybe she believed in herself. Maybe she believed in herself more than she should. Couldn't be filled with self doubt and all the other gross, icky feelings if you were internally hyping yourself up as much as possible, right? Head high, steps graceful and even across the winter-cracked earth. A bracing breeze bringing all the scents that came with the battlefield front and center for the girl. Blood that had long gone dry and stale, dust, fear-- that was good enough. A howl. The wraith's steps were long, athletic as she arrived to face her challenger. Looking her carefully over, taking in all the short girl had to offer. Short, but not as short as Celeste. Cy knew better than to underestimate her opponent, that much was for certain. Carefully setting her weight evenly over all four paws, the girl fixed her unsettling pink gaze on the stranger. "You called?" That was all. It didn't take long for an opponent to show face. Sunny eyes fell upon the sight of a tall yet slender inky fae headed Shalla's way. A small, friendly, smile slipped across the shorter femme as the distance closed between them. Confidence radiated from the stranger and made Shalla wonder if this was a seasoned fighter but it didn't to her either way as it'd be good practice. "You called?" Unfamiliar tones fell upon eager ears and Shalla offered a quick nod, "Yes I did, are you prepared to fiight?" A crimson and charcoal tail swished in anticipated as the shorted She-Wolf settled into a fighting stance. Shalla's ears flicked back, weight lowered, and hackles raised.

Giving her opponent enough time to consider their answer Shalla took it upon herself to make the first move. She tossed a nod in the direction of the inky babe before breaking out in a swift sprint. Light pads pressed against the earth hastily as the distance between them closed. At the last moment Shalla chose to veer to Cyanide's right, aiming to lower herself even more and slam her shoulder into her opponent's leg. Hoping that the tall Wolf would be caught off guard enough to stumble some.

Not seasoned, but seasoned in the art of faking it. Cy did her best to be confident where she stood, watching the girl. Studying. Taking her in as best she could. She could arrange her face into something that resembled a smile, right? Cyanide did her best to look friendly, though the wraith is... well, typically not friendly. The girl would do her best, at least. There's nothing hostile about her this time-- maybe that's the most she can ask herself for. The wraith gave a single nod. She was ready. As the strange began to move, so did Cy. Her gaze is steady, observant. The girl made to crash against her legs as she moved, an effort to stagger her. Cyanide saw her coming in, coming close, and did what she could to meet the movement. She moved to spring upon the red girl in the same moment that she made contact, hoping to force her chest up and into the girl's shoulder. Her balance was tenuous in this moment, feeling the stranger's contact with her own light frame.
