If her mother had any idea of what she was planning, the woman would have been livid. She was sure Bae-Syl wasn’t going to be the most thrilled either, at least not at first. She hadn’t told him where she was going, just left her companions at the den to tell him when he got back from his patrol. There was nothing with her at all – just the tiny pixie as she padded under the soft glow of waxing gibbous. Her green eyes held a faint glow of their own, delighted to stretch her legs. She loved her family, was dutiful toward Ethne, but the young woman could not deny the wandering spirit she had. She had discovered this place by accident one night, before Bae-Syl’s return. And now, as he settled in routine within Ethne, she wanted to share it with him. The beach was different from the ones owned by the Pirates in Auster… and despite how things had been when she met Eden, hearing what the Pirates had done and what they were capable of made her feel guilty for doubting Azure at all. Eden… had she been lying too? She dismissed the thought. No, this wasn’t about Eden, nor the Pirates. This night was about her and Bae-Syl. She glanced over her shoulder. So far she couldn’t see nor smell him, but the pixie had little doubt he was on his way. The fact that she had wandered away from the safety of pack lands, unarmed, unaided, would bring him running. She felt a bit guilty… but she’d try to make it up to him. The pixie would stop just before the waves would reach up to her. The moment she disturbed the things within them, the glow would occur. She wanted Bae to be there when she did that. She sat, curled her tail around her paws, and lifted her gaze towards the horizon, towards the rising moon while she waited. "Talk, 'Think.'

If all of the kings Patrol had went on like normal for him, no issues, no need to call for help. Just a normal patrol. A normal day. Or so he thought. He had entered the den with his normal huge grin, only to find it devoid of the pixie. But what made it worse was she was out without her companions or her vest. She had no armor, no weapons and no companions. At least the cat had been nice enough to cue him into where Lucette had gone. He had half debated calling Bellamy for help but then what kind of combatant would he be? He had taken off like there was a fire under his tail in the direction that Ink had told him she had gone. It took him a bit seeing as he had to skirt around the edges of the falls territory but he reached the shore in what felt like record time to him. His feet skidded to a halt as he panted and scanned for the pixie. He was frantic in his search. Bellamy would kill him if he let something happen to Lucy. If he didn't do the job himself that was. He looked all up and down the shore then his widened gaze settled on her backside and with his hair standing on end, making him look like a big fluffy pup, he started towards her. There had been actual fear in his eyes but as he looked her over and she seemed none the worse for ware he started to settle down. Though the worry was still clear on his face as he came to stand beside her. "You tell me to be more careful, then you go running off without anyone or anything? You know how reckless that is Lucy?" his voice was breathy as he worked to catch his breath from his panic attack. He hadn't even taken in his surroundings, too concerned with Lucette's health and safety. Walk, "Talk", Think Have their queens on the throne

The night was calm. She could count every star if she cared to. A look of wonder entered her eyes as Lucette drew in a breath. Nights as perfect as this… those were the sort of things she wanted to share with Bae-Syl. She allowed herself to relax, her guard lowered. She was being selfish, she knew that, but… it felt so right. The sound of heavier breathing, the sound of Bae arriving and fearful for her safety, caught her attention. She turned and, seeing the worry in his eyes she felt a pang of guilt. Her warm smile faltered and her ears lowered some.

"...I knew you wouldn't be long behind me." She admitted. That look in his eyes hurt. She lowered her gaze. "I was counting on it. That's why I had Rush and Ink wait. If you were late Ink would have found you. I know there was a little risk, but I promise I tried to make it as safe as I could." She drew in a breath, looking out to sea. But… she had scared him badly. It was just like how she felt seeing him injured, wasn't it? That same care, that same fear…

"Sorry…" The apology was quiet but sincere. She still didn't look at him, but she tried to shift closer to him if he'd let her. "My intention wasn't to worry you… I wanted you to see this place with me. But… pretty sure if mom or dad caught wind of it they'd be just as hesitant about me heading out." Lucy sighed. "But… this is important to me. You are important to me." She glanced at him again and managed to give a small smile.

"This place is called The Shimmering Shore. I was hoping we could spend some time here together before we go back."

If all of the kings She explained how she expected him to be right behind her. A sigh escaped his lips. She had planned to have ink find him if he wasn't on time, but what if he hadn't been able to be found? Did she even think of that as a possibility? Something told him that she wouldn't have had a plan for that. She apologized and shifted closer, before bringing up that her mom and dad wouldn't of approved of her plan either. A small chuckle escaped him. At least she could see why this plan of hers might of been a good way to scare more than just him. But at least he had gotten to her to keep her safe in record time. He lowered his rump to the ground and aimed to pull her closer to him with his front right paw as she explained where they were and what she had hoped to accomplish with her little stunt. "You only needed to ask me and I would have escorted you here for us to spend time together you know." he gave her a smile knowing he would never hold anger or anything against her. She could pull her stunt a thousand times, and he would never be angry at her for it. Only scared he wouldn't get to her in time. His eyes finally scanned the area to take it in. It was a lovely beach, and the waves against the shore brought a curious glow to them. His eyes went down to Lucy's green ones and he raised a brow. "So did you have plans for what we would do here too?" Walk, "Talk", Think Have their queens on the throne

His small chuckle was enough to relieve Lucette that Bae-Syl wasn’t really mad. He was just worried. As he pulled her close she came willingly and snuggled up to the bottom of his chest floof. “That would have taken the surprise out of it! Though… this wasn’t really the way I wanted you to see the shore either.” The pixie frowned a little as she looked up at him… a frown that was very quickly replaced by a mischievous grin. So the entrance to the land was ruined… but the night was young and her parents were probably already asleep with her siblings. She scooted away, bouncing on her paws as she encouraged Bae-Syl to follow with her prancing. Her tail swished back and forth and the pixie stuck her tongue out at him. “Sure do!” Well, sort of? She wanted to show him the bacterial and how it glowed and hang out with him. That was enough planning ahead, right? The pixie lowered her front half to the ground, wiggled her rump in the air, and then took off down the beach. No doubt Bae would follow. She glanced over her shoulder after him, green eyes shining with joy, as she shifted closer to the waves. The moment her tiny orange paws hit it the bacteria started to come alive, and with each step forward, the pixie had a blue trail begin to appear behind her. “Catch me if you can, Bae~” Teasing, tempting… wanting him to follow. She felt her heartbeat quicken in her chest. These were the moments she wanted to last forever. Just the two of them. "Talk, 'Think.'

She snuggled up to him for all of maybe a minute speaking of how she didn't want him to see it or have the surprise ruined. A snort was his answer before she darted ourfrom the snuggle and warmth he had offered. He was used to it by now though. But then she stuck her tongue out at him and was play bowing. His expression changed in the moment to become a smirk. He wasn't one to not answer a challenge. He jumped to his feet quickly. His own chest meeting the ground to answer her play bow with his own. If she didn't already have a rise out of him well her challenge of catching her certainly had him. She took off and he wasn't far behind. Her steps were basically glowing, alight with some kind of light in the water. And a glance behind him revealed his were as well. If they didn't look like magical pixies before well the pair of them looked like it now. He raced after her and hoped to catch her with his much longer strides, but he knew the pixie was fast. He pinned his ears and worked harder, aiming to get on her heels only to try to launch over her and attempt to spray her with the salt water with a swipe of his left forpaw as he skidded to a stop and rounded towards her. "how bout you try not to get soaked." his grin was ear to ear and shit eating if ever there was one. "Talk, 'Think.'

Lucette knew what she was doing, and she knew Bae-Syl would follow. They were bound to each other, each always drawn to the other’s side. They had always had that playful sort of rivalry, but as they aged, it became more than just that. Luce loved being with Bae, and thought of him when he was gone. She needed more moments like that, to get back to where they were and build up to their future. She kept her pace. Enough to keep him moving but not enough to actually try to slip away. Lucy wanted to be caught. She grinned as she saw him take notice of their trails in the water. She would make him work for a little though, attempting to put on a burst of speed as he got close, only to have to slam on the breaks as Bae soared over her. The rainbow-marked male was before her then, and as he splashed her she closed her eyes on reflex and giggled. “What’s the fun of being at the beach if you’re not going to get a little wet?” She peeked at him and, without warning, tossed herself up. She was smaller than Bae-Syl, and was definitely playing, but she aimed to wrap her forelegs around his neck and try to drag him into the water with her weight. It’d… probably be a laughable attempt with her hanging off him as he stood in the waves, but hey, wouldn’t stop her from trying! "Talk, 'Think.'

If all of the kings She was unable to keep him from splashing her with water and he stood there with a grin on his face. They'd always been like this, or as long as he could remember they had been. Always playfully goading each other on and being best friends, everything came natural. Even without her warning she and he both knew she couldn't throw him into the water without more force than she put behind this. Her paws ended up around his neck and he chuckled at the attempt. His tail was held high and wagged lazily behind him as he stood with her hanging off him. A smirk was her only warning as he took advantage of how she had positioned herself. His tongue darted out in a quick kiss to her nose as he let himself fold and collapse onto his side, hopefully dragging her with him. He would go home soaked but she would too. No damsel in distress Well, she tried? As expected there she was, forelimbs wrapped around Bae-Syl’s neck as he chuckled. The pixie huffed. Darn it! She was really hoping that now that she was bigger she might be able to pull him down! “No fair, Bae! You’re too big!” Lucette complained. Her voice was more of a whine, being dramatic as she complained to him. Yet there was Bae, just chuckling at her as they shared one of those moments between them. This was how it was meant to be. She saw him smirk and before she could utter the words of “don’t you dare” his tongue slipped out in a quick kiss and down he went. Lucette let go but it was too late. She was in the water, spluttering and laughing at the same time. She wasn’t mad - how could she be? She swatted more water at him with a forepaw, sticking out her tongue as the water around them glowed that bright blue. They had really encouraged the reaction now. Lucette didn’t move away though, instead drawing closer to Bae-Syl, resting her head on his shoulder as she gave a content sigh. “You’re a pain…” She told him, though her tone told him that she was not upset in the slightest. “Guess I deserved a little retaliation though, since I made you worry.” She drew back, looking up at him under the moonlit sky. “Do you like it here though?” Her expression softened, excitement making her talk faster, not thinking about giving him time to respond. “‘cause… I really wanted you to… I wanted to make this night special for us.” She could feel her face warming up. As long as she was with Bae everywhere could be special… but she wanted to do something sweet for him for a change. Just like he was always doing for her. "Talk," 'Think.' Don't need to save me

If all of the kings She swatted him with water and he just grinned at her with a short chuckle. "But I'm your pain now." could his grin get any bigger? Probably not. As she leaned into him he looked out over the ocean before them. This place was like a fairy tale if he was being honest. The water was glowing and calm, the sands looked pristine. Was anything he could think of in a tall tale. Luce was talking too fast for him to get a word in to answer her though. So what did you do when your crush and best friend talked way too much and too fast? Exactly what Bae-Syl was about to do is what. He leaned down his cheeks burning red as he did so and did his best to shut Lucy up, planting a kiss right on her lips. He averted his eyes as he drew back and blushed to answer her. No damsel in distress His answer was something she might have expected, yet still, it made her heart flutter. They would always be there for each other, the responsibility of each other. She would help keep his mind sound, safe to be around the others, and he would provide her more happiness than she could ever dream of. Bae-Syl had been there, keeping her safe, keeping her safe, from the moment she had met him. That was why his disappearance had hurt her so much. She had grown used to seeing him every morning, sleeping by his side, spending days chatting with him, and even now, when he went to patrol the creek she could tend to the little herb garden she was working without worrying if she’d be safe. She knew she would. Bae-Syl would protect her before anyone. A small fault, perhaps, but… Lucette didn’t see it as a bad thing. Him protecting her was also protecting Ethne in the end. Her excitement got the better of her… and a bit of nervousness too. Thankful Bae knew what to do. The best way to get her to stop chattering on was to silence her lips - with a kiss. Lucette’s eyes widened at first, surprised, caught off guard, and yet… Lucette closed her eyes, her body seeming to melt and relax at the gesture. It only lasted seconds but, for Lucy, it lasted longer. Even as Bae drew back the feeling of his lips lingered on her own. She opened her eyes, aware of the heat rushing to her face and the warmth spreading in her chest and stomach as the butterflies were set free in mass. She was quiet for a few heartbeats, staring at him as he answered. It was wonderful… She beamed happily, drawing close to him again, nosing against his body. “You’re wonderful, Bae.” She told him, her voice soft. She drew back, that warm smile becoming a grin as she danced through the water towards the shore. “Come on! Lets head to the beach!” More of those butterflies, wildly beating those wings as something else stirred within her. Lucette didn’t have a name for the feeling she felt, but she knew she wanted Bae-Syl. She wanted Bae-Syl more than she had ever wanted him before. "Talk," 'Think.' Don't need to save me

If all of the kings He sat there in silence, content to stay in the water with Lucy cuddled up to him for as long as she wanted to. As she nosed into him and pulled as close to him as she could he gently placed his head on top of hers. His grin had become a soft gentle smile. This felt right. Everything about this felt right. Luce beside him, him cuddling up to her. Everything was like it should be in his mind. He lifted his head to look into her emerald eyes as she spoke again. She didn't have to ask him twice. He stood and waited for her to bound away before he shook his pelt free of all the water that clung to his fur. His pace was slower than hers but he moved at a light jog following he to the sand. His Pixie was leaving blue trails everywhere she went here and he was watching. Should he ask her what he wanted to? Would her mom kill him if he didn't their permission first? that sounded stupid and archaic, but he had decide long ago that Lucette deserved only the best. The best friend. The best Protector. And one day, The best Husband. It felt like he should open his mouth and ask, but then again cowardice that she would say no reared its ugly head. He wasn't sure he could take the rejection and remaining just friends if she said no. He decided it better to shelve that question until later as his paws touched the sands, leaving the blue trails in the water behind. His eyes had never left Lucy as she had moved and he grinned with a glint of mischief in his eyes as he watched her clamber onto the sands. He bunched his muscles and leaped into action hopefully faster than she could react. His aim was to wrap his paws around her and go rolling with her, and to have himself land above her and her below him on her back. Everything was just them in the moment and in the silence of the night it was perfect. If he succeeded in having her looking up at him from her back he would look down and grin at her. They belonged together one way or another in life, it was like they were soul mates, each made for the other. Looking in her eyes his grin would soften and become a smile, his chest pounding as he looked into those green eyes. Lucette’s focus had faded from what was around her. Her brilliant green gaze was focused solely on the young man she had grown so attached to. She’d come to know so much about Bae in their time together and yet, at the same time, she recognized there was so much that she didn’t know. Secrets, darkness that she might have to unearth… but Lucy wasn’t afraid. Despite the bits of his past that she learned of, and the family he had she worried might one day threaten their safety, Lucette had always been sure of one thing. No matter how lost Bae-Syl seemed to become, nor distant, he wouldn’t hurt her. He said he came close that night with the coyote… but Luce put more stock in the fact he had been able to recognize her, to stop in the middle of his own action. As much as she cared for him, he cared for her. Obvious in their actions and worries for each other, their teasing… those butterflies fluttered within her again and her heart hammered in her chest. Bae-Syl was all she could have ever wanted. In her mind, he was perfect for her. A companion, a best friend… and… she felt her face heat even more. When had she started feeling like she was looking at him like her parents looked at each other? When had these feelings developed from something as simple and innocent to needing and wanting each other’s company to not being able to be without him? Her brain was buzzing with thoughts and feelings that flew at her far faster than she could process. She was young and in love. She knew she wanted Bae-Syl in her life, and the words… Those words were hard to form that could express that. But maybe they didn’t need to say anything more out loud. Bae-Syl moved and the next thing she knew he was coming at her, then they were rolling. When they stopped she was below him, her back in the sand as she looked up at him, her heart hammering and that heat washing over her entire body. Even if she had wanted to tell him anything, no words formed anymore. Her body would tell him what he needed to know. Her posture was relaxed, her tail lighting wagging in the sand behind her. Warmth graced her expression, a smile full of love, and a gaze that was lost in his own with a look of consent and acceptance for whatever this night brought with it. They were made for one another. There would be no regrets. Not now, not ever. -Fade to black.- "Talk, 'Think.'

If all of the kings -fade in- He was curled up around Lucette with his head on her shoulders now. a soft smile was plastered on his face as he watched the waves. They were pushing up on the sands and constantly pulling back from it, their sounds soft and constant. Blue danced with each wave. It was beautiful with a star filled sky in the background. It was peaceful and he was content just knowing that the girl, no, woman next to him, held every ounce of passion for him as he did her. But still he hadn't asked. He really needed to grow a pair and man the fuck up. When was he ever goin to get such a good, sort of romantic opportunity again? The answer was likely whenever he wanted but was Luce okay with doing this a lot? Especially since it meant they kind of would shirk their duties in Ethne. It was now or never. "Luce? I have a question for you, but your mom might kill me for asking it...." He lifted his head and leaned so he could look her in the eyes. Damn he could get lost in those eyes. He wanted to see her face and reaction to his question, and he would be concerned later with asking Bells and Gav. "Marry me?" He was going to wait with baited breath for her reaction now. No damsel in distress Their bodies had become one, and now, now that all was said and done, Lucy was curled against Bae-Syl feeling content and satisfied. She was happy, her eyes closed, and she half believed if she opened them this would all be some sort of sweet dream. She could hear the waves in the background as they crashed against the sand, the push and pull of the waters reminding her a little bit of herself and Bae-Syl. Even when they drifted away from one another they always came back, the intensity of their bond never once fading. She could picture the glowing blue of the waves, the color lingering from where she and Bae had disturbed the residents of the water. She gave a soft murr, finally daring to open her eyes. The night was stunning, millions of stars dancing above them. This beach would be their special place… when the nights were warm they could come here and share more nights, just like this. She wore a love drunk smile, not even caring that Bae-Syl hadn’t asked her. It wouldn’t have changed what had happened anyway. She had wanted him, and he had wanted her. They were young, and surely her mother would understand that their relationship was blooming. While they were needed in Ethne, they were not the only members there, and the pack would be alright if they slipped away to spend time together. They really weren’t far from pack lands anyway. Hearing Bae-Syl’s voice her ears twitched, and the she-wolf turned her attention toward him, her green gaze meeting his blue ones. They seemed to go on forever, like the daytime sky. Fitting when she considered Bae her light. His question would surprise her, her eyes widening with shock, but a massive grin would soon find its way to her maw. She leaned forward, choosing to make Bae-Syl wait just a moment, stealing a kiss before she would answer. When she drew back the femme chuckled softly. “I was already yours, Bae.” To her the ceremony didn’t matter, but she was sure her parents would mind. “But yes, I’ll marry you! Let's make it official so everyone in all of Boreas and Auster knows that I am yours, and you are mine~” Her grin became mischievous. “Can’t have other wolves making goo goo eyes at you~ I might have to shorten their tails with a well placed chomp!” "Talk," 'Think.'
