I n their ongoing quest to make Mirovis known to the world of Boreas, as well as getting to know more of the other packs that might become their future allies or rivals, Requiem had charted out a list of who they needed to meet and who had already come to greet them at their home. The pack nestled amongst the rapids and falls known as Valta was the first on the list of those who had kept to themselves, and while that did not bother Requiem per se, it did mean they would be getting a visit from the new regents of the Mirovis Empire. Leading the way south from their home, Requiem walked with Lurid as they approached the network of rivers and rapids, the scent of the pack distinct and noticeable even amongst all the water.
"F rom my reconnaissance, the alpha of this pack is related to the Warlord of the Armada," he informed his beloved as they neared the border. It seemed the Fatalises had something against coming to greet newcomers themselves... Stopping at the borders, Requiem began to scan their surroundings, looking for any guards on duty or spies lingering in the foliage while he allowed Lurid to call for the alpha of Valta as the Empress. "Do the honors, my love."

During the trip to Valta, Lurid let her body gently bump against Requiem's as they walked. The feel of him doing wonders to calm the irritation that seemed to grow each time they had to travel out of their home. More and more, Lurid seemed to want to become a hermit, though she understood that these trips were necessary. "So they are bad at introducing themselves too." Her quip came shortly before she howled for the alpha of Valta. "Thank you for coming with me, my love. These trips are made easier by your presence." She admitted to him that the traveling was tiresome, but once the alpha arrived she would be nothing other than polite.

Kotori had much more important matters to think about than some new little pack with an alpha he knew nothing about. Thinking about bringing home a princess was one of these more important details. Kotori had been getting ready to go on his journey to look for Ochi when a howl came from his borders. It appeared he was to be delayed a short time longer.
It wouldn’t take overly long for Kotori to be spotted heading toward the two wolves. Ah, he recognized Lurid quickly enough from the fight he’d witnessed. The crimson wolf also seemed familiar, probably from that match as well. So, were they visiting all the packs or was this a special visit to Valta?
Kotori approached at a slow jog, taking the time to observe the two. The earth-toned wolf kept his head high, moving with that natural pride and confidence. Requiem got a glance but Kotori focused his main attention on Lurid. “Greetings, Kotori Fatalis, Sumatar of Valta.” Kotori’s words kept with formal politeness, “What brings you to Valta?” Kotori recalled when he’d first gained his pack and how he’d also made his rounds visiting the other packs. It made sense to assume she was doing the same. Still, sometimes life could surprise you. He recalled the woman being called 'Lurid' but any title she had given herself or last name were things Kotori was unaware of and he didn't even have a first name for the red fellow.

T he feeling of Lurid’s svelte body pressing into his side and the sensation of her silken fur mingling with his own plush coat sent delightful chills rippling down his spine, the red devil turning a charming grin and shining silver eyes upon his betrothed. He knew the travel was not her preferred activity and the mundane monotony of diplomacy was nerve-grating, but these were the tedious tidings of being an alpha. Requiem had no qualms with doing all he could to support his alabaster goddess when it came to these boring yet necessary tasks. Her sharp-tongued quip earned her a short snicker from her brute, followed by a quick lean in to plant a kiss to her cheek before the alpha arrived. "The pleasure’s all mine, my queen."
N ot kept waiting long, Requiem’s sharp eyes soon took note of the earthen-hued male that approached them, answering their call. He was tall and stocky, yet not quite as tall as either Lurid or Requiem were. A set of horns adorned his crown as his notable features. Req stood up straight and smiled pleasantly as the wolf approached and introduced himself as Kotori Fatalis and a rank he assumed equated to the alpha of Valta. Requiem tipped his head in greeting to Kotori, not quite bowing, but expressing appreciation for his attention. Requiem bowed to no wolf but Lurid. "Good day, Kotori. I am Requiem, Haihefa of Mirovis, and Lurid Amarix, Blodreina and alpha of Mirovis," he introduced himself and his queen, being sure to place the emphasis of true leadership on Lurid. Although he was an official alpha, Mirovis belonged wholeheartedly to the Amarix regent, and he would leave no misconception who was truly in charge of the pack. "We are visiting each of the packs of Boreas to introduce ourselves and get to know a little more about our fellow alphas." With his general explanation of their intents, Requiem left the floor open to Lurid to take charge of their interaction and trade information and formalities with Kotori for as long as she pleased, which he doubted would be very long.
