let's stick together just a little bit longer

It was true, most of what she needed grew within the Oaks. Most of the things that didn't naturally occur here, Sedna had tracked down and planted within the herb garden she cultivated within Tojo-Kai. It seemed so much of the work had already been done... but there had to be more. Kiriko was still trying to reconcile her own usefulness within the pack... it had been different before. Things had been different before. Within the old empire, things had been so clear. Here? That was far less the case. Biting back the homesickness that seemed to rise in the back of her throat, the regal creature found herself on the banks of one of the islands.

What a strange place this was. Her gaze was careful, contemplative on the tattered skyline. Haunting, strange. A monument to a civilization that had now passed by. She can't help but feel a bit of kinship with that idea, actually. A soft sigh spread through her lungs, and Kiriko found herself taking in the scents of the world around her. Through all of the strangeness and the damp, there was bound to be something useful here.

There was a hint of something minty, enough to draw her attention. It wasn't common garden mint (the likes of which would take over an entire garden bed if she wasn't careful), but something else. Gaze intent and nose to the ground, Kiriko followed the scent.
