It’s for the birds

Bramble had acquired her own raven at a young age. Bristle was a standard black like any other raven, but something about the twinkle in her eye and the way she cawed had struck Bramble as interesting. The pair had hit it off well and with her Fisher, Berry, they were a formidable duo. As of late when the weather had begun to turn cold, the yearling noticed there were not a lot of bird feeders among the grounds. During the summer months, it wasn’t necessary, but with the threat of snow being a possibility, she wanted to ensure that all the little creatures had something to eat. With the grey clouds rolling in off the coast and tumbling across the plains, Bramble made her way out to the grove. Bristle hopped from branch to branch as Berry sat snuggly within her neck fur. Though it was still early afternoon, it was rather dark within the grove. Leaves had turned brown and fallen to create a thick bed on the ground. What most didn’t know though was that there were plenty of seeds, mushy berries, and other things that birds enjoyed hidden among the fallen leaves as well. “We need to gather sticks and vines and maybe some flat rocks or large pieces of bark,” she said as she looked up to the trees at Bristle. The raven would chatter in agreement before taking off. Bramble continued her easy pace as they made their way toward the center of the grove. Once she crafted enough bird feeders, she could gather feed for them as well. Craft Bird Feeders - 1/3
