It was time. Bellamy stood at the entrance of Grapevine Cathedral, her fur bristled and ears pinned back against her skull. Alongside her she had her chosen few, wolves that she knew wanted to bring Gavroche’s murderer to justice. Those who were capable. The woman drew in a breath and turned to them, her green gaze hard. She had given herself and her children a bit of time to grieve, some time for her torn pads to heal, but now they needed to find the one responsible and bring him down. He would pay for hurting such a sweet natured creature. For taking one of their own. Bellamy gave a nod to them. “We are going to spread out. Search for his scent, or a victim. I’m sure finding the latter will lead us to him. When you find him you are to howl for back up immediately. Engage if you must, but do not simply run.” Gav had run… and he had been taken down from behind. A coward’s attack. “Blind the bastard, do what damage you can. I would like him left alive for the pack to all get their turn… but if we must end it before we can get him there so be it. We’ll bring the corpse back if we must.” Bellamy’s gaze softened. “All of you be safe. I won’t be able to stomach losing anyone else…” She turned, starting to trot forward. “Let's move!” |
Bellamy has two companions - a Tasmanian devil and an American badger. Unless otherwise mentioned IC, assume that they are close by.

With the murder of her kind father, Haydée has found herself lost in this new and cruel world. The pack has spent time grieving Gav’s passing yet, the whole time they had sat by in their sadness, the young Heir mind could only think of one thing; vengeance. She had been there to find her sweet father’s dismembered body, had noticed how his chest had been cracked open and his kind heart stolen from within. Those blood-soaked images are forever burned into her mind and she relives finding them every time she slips off to sleep. Yet, the sadness that she feels at missing her dad has slowly been eclipsed by something else.
Anger.
That day in the Grapevine Cathedral had stripped away the innocence of Haydée and shown her the cruelty that lives in the world. Her views had shifted and, with the bitter sting of loss, the girl had felt the anger that simmered deep in her soul begin to rise. Now she actually understands how her mother had felt that day she tore apart the tiger that had tried to steal her. To comfort herself and focus her erratic energy, the girl had turned her thoughts to imagining what she would do when she found the wolf responsible for the death of her father.
For the first time in her life, Haydée began to have truly vile thoughts.
When her mother had approached her with the prospect of bringing the murderer to justice, the girl had been quick to agree. Now they stand at the entrance of the Cathedral and Haydée feels a very… inexplicable sense of excitement. Hard emerald eyes turn up to look up to her mother as Bellamy lays out the plan and all the girl can offer is a firm nod in response. Her small body is taut with tense and anticaption as Bell tells them to move and, without a word, Hay breaks away from the group.
With her tiger armor firmly in place, ready for a battle if it is needed, the girl strikes out to find the killer. Stalking silently through the land, the vines slowly choke off the daylight until she is almost entirely surrounded by darkness. With the darkening of the world, Haydée feels the excitement at meeting the attacker beginning to build. There is a thin line between justice and vengeance and the girl stands, teetering on the edge.
"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”
Haydée has a male northern cardinal named Chanson and a female fossa named Manon. They are always close by.

Dagrún had taken great care to tend to her armor and weapons before donning them and heading to the grapevine cathedral. The news of Gavorche's murder had been a complete shock. Though she had not been especially close to the healer the grief of those that were was palatable. It set anger in her stomach like hot coals toward the one who had caused such misery. She wanted to stain her fangs in the wretches blood.
She snapped to attention as Bellamy addressed them, giving a short nod to show she understood, offering a reassuring glance to Haydée before stalking off into the wooded area. Dagrún chose to skirt along the edges of the cathedral first, looking for any signs that hinted at an exit. The murder had to have entered and exited at some point in this territory. Finding where was a good start.
