She'd been doing well in honing her skills, but the skeletal wraith wasn't quite done just yet. She was tiring, sure, but her perseverance was still holding on and she wasn't ready to quit. Not yet. She wouldn't go home until she couldn't stand anymore. Or at least, untile she got in one last good fight before she returned home. She had just finished a fight with a hefty opponent, her legs were shaky and she was feeling woozy, but the stubborn bitch refused to quit despite the please of her companions. "Medusa will fight one more." She stated before throwing her head back and calling for yet another opponent.

The battlefield was the farthest Charlie had traveled alone to date. As he walked across the dry earth his ears were perked forward. The scent of blood could be found here… and he wondered if his own would soon join it. Besides him Yorrick padded along and Silveris rested on his back as the yearling made his way. A woman was coming into view, a bloodied stranger taking his leave from her. She was unfamiliar to Charlie and though she held a pack scent it was not one he was familiar with. He glanced at Yorrick as she howled. She hadn't noticed them approaching yet but they had come for the same reason she called: A spar.

As he approached the femme he noticed she was a bit older, probably old enough to have children of her own. She was worn out but her intent was clear in the fact she wanted to go another round. Charlie would pause with roughly five feet of distance between them and tip his head respectfully to the woman. "I am Charlton Fatalis of the Armada, miss. I will be your next opponent." The yearling immediately settled into a widened stance and instinctively put up the defenses he'd started to feel were second nature now. Yorrick settled into place on his right while Silveris took to the skies on his left. A polite smile was on his face as he gave her a nod.

"First move is yours if you'd like it."

"Speech," 'Thought.'

Another opponent would find her, and it seemed to be another younger one from Armada. What was with all these Armada wolves finding her? Were they telling each other about her and just wanting to beat her up? Did it have to do with Recluse or was it just coincidence? She didn't know, but she wasn't about to say no to another fight. He seemed polite though. Wasn't all quiet like the last Armadan guy she fought. Though she lost against the last one, she had no intention of losing to this one. And if she did, then it was because she was tired AF and would throw down the towel. She had done a lot of spars today, she was beat! "Medusa will fight you!" She shook herself out to try and resettle herself, trying to make herself seem...a little less tired. But it wasn't working too much. She was weary, yes, but she'd follow through anyway. She didn't know what give up meant. Was nowhere in her vocabulary or in her personality. She'd go until she simply couldn't anymore. "The first move is yours if you'd like it." She grinned after those words, and with little else, she took off. The Wraith charged at the yearling, a cackle on her lips as she aimed to draw close. She didn't go at him head-on, no. She bolted toward his left and sought to pass him by, looking to get up right beside him. Her tail tucked just in case he went for it, but her goal was to get right up alongside him. She aimed a kick at his foreleg with her hind foot as she sped by, teeth seeking to bite the young boy's ribs. Medusa vs Charlton for Spar Round: 1/? The way the woman’s expression shifted as he introduced himself caused Charlie’s smile to waver. He didn’t know what caused her expression to flicker, but she did not react with hostility. She would claim that she, Medusa, would fight him and shake herself out as a form of preparation. His expression shifted, replaced by determination to do well in this spar. His claws dug into the earth, watching the skeletal marked woman. She was older, likely a seasoned fighter, but Charlie had no intention of giving her an easy fight. The lessons he had, the fights against the predators of the North, his spars with his father. This was important for him to do well. More to him than to anyone else. He’d see her face flicker into a grin and, without further warning, the woman came toward him.

Charlie would not allow her mannerisms to shake him. She came headlong, and Charlie expected her to come full on, slam into him, but no, in the last couple of seconds the yearling side stepped once, spinning toward the woman with his muzzle. She was pulling alongside him, her leg slamming into his foreleg and causing him to stumble. In an effort to save himself from tumbling Charlie would snap his fangs in the direction of the woman’s rump. Getting a hold would save his balance, well, in theory? He had to do something before it was compromised further! His hind legs would start side stepping, attempting to draw his rear further away from her, but not before he felt her teeth sliding across his ribs. Blood welled up from the injury, her teeth leaving cuts in their wake.

Silveris would dive closer to the wolves then, her sharp cries an attempt at distracting the woman as she made to support her companion. Yorrick was on the move as well, circling behind Charlie now as he moved to get on the same side as their opponent.

She giggled and cackled as she hit her marks, though the not-so-little Armadan boy would move to try and avoid the bulk of it. She felt teeth on her rump, causing her to tuck her rear end in an effort to get away from his teeth. "Eep!" She snarled a feral sound as she pivoted toward him. The space between them wasn't much, but maybe if she could get in a good hit or two, she could knock the air out and wind him! Yeah, that sounded like a good idea! But then she heard shrieking and she turned her head to find the source, teeth briefly snapping toward the bird to deter it from coming closer. Huffing, she quickly returned her attention back to her opponent and, like a wily goat, she tucked her head and sought to skull bash into his side just behind his ribs, she aimed to stomp his rear paw in a throwaway attempt at potentially keeping him in place, or at the very least, causing him to trip. Okay, so the side stepping thing was only working so well… and that wasn’t very well at all. Charlie’s teeth grazed Medusa’s rump, but she would tuck her rear end and attempt to steer it away from him. Her feral growl was met with a snarl of the boy’s own as he managed to get just enough control over his positioning to redistribute his weight across his limbs. There wasn’t much room between them, and the woman would seek to close it as she discouraged Silveris from getting closer. Realizing he wouldn’t be able to dodge any incoming attacks at this point, Charlie anchored himself down and prepared himself for whatever his opponent was about to throw at him.

Her skull would bash into his side and Charlie grunted as he bore the weight of her attack. Her stomp landed too, but he took it as calculated damage. In the second it took Charlie to recover, Yorrick launched himself at Medusa’s back leg with open jaws to clamp down upon the limb. The fisher was just back up, however, as Silveris circled and continued shrieking at the woman. Pushing through his pain Charlie would swing his head toward Medusa’s back and part his own jaws as he went to grab her and clamp down. She might have thought she had him, but if he got a hold of her he could control where this fight went with a good shake of his head!
