Despite all her efforts that spring, one of her hives had chosen to swarm, so Corbie had been tracking down the adventurous hive to see where they ended up, to recapture them and bring them back to a new hive. Luckily they hadn't gone very far just yet - she'd only reached the other side of the river before she came across the quietly buzzing ball of bees covering the fork of a tree branch. She set down the lidded bucket she'd been carrying. The handle rattled sharply as she set it down, the sound echoing quite a distance, but it didn't disturb the swarm any. At this point in their journey the bees would be pretty docile. She lay sphinx-like, head tilted, as she observed the swarm to see the best way to begin their capture.

He had been traveling up river, unsure what he would find but content to just wander. To see where it would take him and what it would bring. There was always new things to see out there. It was part of the reason he had left his homeland, the other part was that there was noting left form he there, but he prefered not to dvel on that if he could help it. He was content to move slowly and watch fish jump in the water when a ratteling sound reached him and he lifted his head. Golden eyes scaned the area around him but he found noting. The sound had come from up ahead to he walked on and soon enough he found her.

A woman of whites and blacks looked to be resting by the river. "Buores, Hello" He said first saying the word in his native languge before quickly repeating it in the common one. He was far from home after all. It was unlikely anyone would understand him otherwise. Still re refused abandon that part of him. So they would just have to tolerate a strange word every now and then.

Upon closer inspection he noticed she was not in fact relaxing, but watching a swarm of bees. How facinating! He knew little of the small cretures, behond the fact that the honney they made was useful both as a sweet treat and as something used in healing. "A rare sight" He said simply. In his expiriance a swarm of bees was not something you saw every day.

As she watched the swarm to be sure she could get to them safely, a rustle of pawsteps caught her attention and had her ears flicking towards the sound even before her head turned to see the stranger approaching. She kept part of her attention on the swarm, but smiled absently at the stranger in welcome. "It's part of their way of maintaining the health of their hives," she told him, "So it isn't unusual this time of year to find swarms, when the hives are too crowded and they need to split in two. I didn't catch one of my hives before it got too big, I'm afraid, so it swarmed and nearly got away from me. I just need to catch it and put it in a new hive." She checked back at the swarm quickly before turning more of her attention back to the stranger. "I'm Corbie, by the way."
