Bearing in mind you don't belong

Kotori found this an odd spot to find a bear and so he sat off a ways watching it cautiously.  The animal was walking along the beach, snuffling at various objects and then moving along to the next thing to catch its attention.  The grizzly was certainly large but with less bulk than most should have had.  The question was if it was just a poor hunter or sick.
He imagined both were possible but while he didn’t mind biting a foolish bear he didn’t want to bite into something sick and risk some deadly disease.  Well, he certainly couldn’t have it get closer to his pack land regardless so horns it would be.
Kotori ran towards the bear, near the water's edge snarling to give this one an actual chance to run away.  Normally he always preferred killing but here was another avenue for it to get away.  Things weren’t as fun without some of his attacks being bites.

The bear twisted its head to look at Kotori and then stood up to its full height, letting the wolf know it had no intention of leaving.  Kotori swung wide around the bear, slashing a back leg with his horns as he ran past it again.
