rain pitter-patters down in drizzled clumps, lighting one minute only to grow heavier the next. despite the water bogging down their scraggly pelt, however, the usual irritation born of such weather doesn’t touch them. rather, Araneae finds themselves this morning snuffling through dew-speckled grass, searching for bugs and mice. occasionally they pause in their searching, chin raising as they squint into the distance; all morning, they’ve had the faint inkling that they’re being…watched or something. it’s like an itch crawling down their spine, ruffling their fur…but when they look, no one ever seems to be there. it’s likely they’re just imagining things, but Araneae can’t quite shake the sensation all the same. |
